I've never seen one until 5 days ago . I'll be building one before the winter is out for sure. I'd love to know a few details and measurements if you care to share them and how you'd improve your design if you built another. Great setup.
Does your disk tumbler ever get clogged up? Looking at the design of disk tumblers I would think if just the right size piece went in in the right way it might get clogged. Researching tumblers for our wood business right now and so far it looks like the disk tumblers are a very good when you compare the decreased cost from a 16’ barrel tumbler. I like your setup. Good TH-cam content too 👌🏼
There is a "seminar" type powerpoint video of a big firewood business out east and that's exactly how buddy got his kindling. All his staff would fill some bags before the end of their shift with the junk that fell off the screener and that was his kindling operation
@@allthingsredneck8831I figure I was getting a large garbage can worth of chaff per cord with the 4 way. I might try a 6 way because I am spending a lot of time resplitting 12"+ logs and I get up to 22" through the processor
@@NotSureJoeBauers ya resplitting definitely low production down. We sort our firewood and only put the large pieces on for people with furnaces who want big wood.
I wanna see that floor set up running, looks great

Great setup.
Love the set up, keep cutting
Love your setup, more videos please!
Seems like the customers would want that stuff for kindling.
We pick the bigger pieces out
I’ll be interested in buying one if you wanna make & sell

Nope put 20 cord a day across it
Had a tumbler before and triangle pieces were always stuck in the spaces
Disks work flawlessly
how do you drive the rollers on it?
Clean out conveyor in floor is awesome for making clean up easy......Wood cleaner isn't to shabby either.
Cleaner would be nicer if I had all your fancy shop tools when I built it lol 🤣👍
I reckon that if you threw in a bag of the "junk" as kindling per load it'd be great stuff. The junk is so shredded that it would make great kindling.
You are 100% right but nowadays people seem to not have any common sense and dont seem to think so

Setup is working good its amazing how much junk comes off. I like the idea of getting a 6 way for my machine but I can see it creating even more junk
Yes we have two machines one has a four-way one has a 6 way the 6 way has over double the junk the four way we just let it go directly in the truck
