    The saw at 3:11 looks like it's going the wrong way. All the power needed to pull the chain through the wood has to be changed 180 degrees by the sprocket at the end of the bar. Normally it's an idler and the motor pulls directly on the chain to reduce wear on the bearings.

    • @LocksmithLegend23

People who are just doing stupid things are mostly the only ones getting hurt, common sense goes a long way.

    • @jimurrata6785
      @jimurrata6785 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Eric Richter I'd imagine they mulch it.
      But with all the ash borer shown as the bark comes off the very best thing you _could_ do is burn it before any of them escape.
      Unless you chose to saturate it with insecticide. Then you couldn't use it as mulch, and it would be steeping pile of toxic waste.

      How can it be a waste? Going for heat production, domestic or industrial, clearly it’s not suitable for cabinet making and there’s a surplus for the manufacture of pallets. Best look at the plastic industry, this has taken the place of wood in many instances and is now a serious threat to the environment. Not all timber is suitable for paper production either.
      What would (?) you suggest this timber be used for, much of which may be diseased or infected.?

    • @codymoreland4496
      @codymoreland4496 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If this was suitable for finished boards they would not be missing the profit opportunity that would present. Therefore the wood must not be quality enough for that or the demand is too low.
