Overall yes but it depends. Some game re-creations have unbelievably accurate physics! And some games do not. Also it depends on how the cabinet is built. Is it built to the same size and specs of a real pin with proper leaf switches? I can tell you overall it has had a huge impact on my ability! Even though mine isn't full size I still play way better because I can pick up and play all the time at home. Lastly, it can give you a ton of time to experiment with scoring strategies at home and just learn the way a particular game plays and the rules. Just be careful not to pick up any bad habits. For example pins in the real world can have divots in the playfield and other imperfections that the player will need to compensate for. Vpins play like brand new.
