Whenever I have issues or questions about the newest GoPro accessories or assemblage, I consult this channel FIRST! Thank you so much for all your informative detail&hardwork! 👍
I had a Rode Videomic Go. It started to make a horrible crackling noise, rendering it useless. I made the move to Sennheiser! I use an MKE 600, but they also have an MKE 400 or 200, which would work on-the-go. Amazing quality and design.
Thank you for the review. Yours is the first. I am surprised that the dead cat does not seem to have much of an impact when compared to the deadcat for the rode.
I love the fact that the RODE doesn't need any batteries and I love that you can use the 3.5mm or USB C output! It's like having two mics for the price of one! Can use it to vlog or for zoom calls or podcasts plus Rode has great software to utilize the RODE mic ....I just wish it came with the dead cat.
Nice job, thank you. I tried to compare the Rode with wind noise to the Diety at plus 10 and after adjusting volume at my end the Diety sounded more forward and clearer. But that's not necessarily the best comparison. Any feedback?
Great video!!! I just got the Rode and I’m a bit annoyed by the need for an exclusive cable to record audio with my iPhone. I have an adapter that should work but Rode locked that down. That’s a tech turn off for me. I’ll be checking out the Diety! Thanks!
thank you for this video, an the dedication an hard work to test all these products, i just got the rode wireless go 2 but looking for a second mic just to have an alternative an backup... sometimes i forget to charge my rode wirless go lol
Newby question: I want to go down the rode path with go pro. Can you just simply trim off the dead cat to remove it from frame ??? Or is this a stupid idea
I see the battery power of the Deity as a huge plus. Grab a pack of Eneloop Pros and recharge them as needed, and if you’re in a situation where you’ve not realized the battery has depleted, simply swap the battery with a charged one. Also, internal batteries inevitably wear out (which may only be important depending on your long-term use case scenario), so with the D4 that’s not a worry.
best comparison review between these . i am thinkin Deity D4 would be more suitable as long as it is not too heavy for my top heavy setup . i was thinkin to get the mini and i still might because of the weight thing, however before i was gonna get it instead of the D4 because of the input jack for another mic that comes on the mini . just now i thought this would maybe not work because of a slight delay in a wireless lav set up . not sure though . oh wait ::UPDATE:: i guess i can jus put on a y split 3.5 cable i guess and as long as latency for my wireless is not too much then it will be ok . it comes down to weight again then
The Deity sounds great! Better than the Rode I think! It's just that packing extra batteries seems like an extra thing to forget. Decisions decisions...

Great video! Been looking for this comparison
I bought the Deity a few days ago. Thanks
Very well done review! Super Informative

And both a usb-c to usb-c cable and a usb-c to lightning cable. Added cost if you need this (like I) is 70/80 Euro
Thank you for the video. I have a question. How far does it work? l mean how distance can it record good quality?
Thank you for a comprehensive review. Do you have any thoughts on the TRRS instead of TRS since there is no headphone output?
Can shotgun mics be mounted backwards on the GoPro if I want to talk behind the camera?
Which would you go with if you were purely filming cooking videos and want those ASMR sounds?
Do you think the Deity will be in the frame when using with an iPhone? Maybe with widescreen mode?
Yeah, it likely would get in the frame when shooting ultrawide. But widescreen would probably help.

Is there a deity of the same quality that uses on board power and not its own? It's better sounding, but it's so much longer.
Nice review, very helpful. What mic that used in this, its very clear than the shotgun mic
Thanks for the review 🧡. I am interested what mic have you used in this video during explanations? The sound is very good.
I used the Rode VideoMic Pro Plus.
Thanks for this video! Do you have a product link for the Deity?
I do! It's in the description.
I really like how much Diety offers you for the price. The one thing I noticed was more wind noise with the Deity over the rode :/
I'm Gemini too! Great vid I love being subbed to your channels!

My rule of thumb is if I'm not using my wireless mics, I have them charging. Highly recommend getting a charging case for the Rode -- it helps a lot!

You could, but I wouldn't recommend it as it could affect sound quality

Fellow Gemini sister Suzi: thanks so much for doing this video. I have been conflicted on which boom mic to like! Cheers! 💛🙏🏽
can you release a giveaway for a vlogging microphone with cable for phone
Until now I stick to my Røde mic.. 👍

Deadcat… don’t be worried to hurt peoples feelings by saying what the actual thing is called
