Loretta's Mastery requieres 46 int, that and the fact that he used the Full Moon Crossbow makes me think he doesnt has a low Int build.

I can't wrap my head around why the sorcerer didn't just... Walk slightly closer. Like he could've walked a foot closer and been within range to use Stars of Ruin. Did he forget that he's allowed to approach the opponent?
In this case, it's probably that they measured the viable distance when they finished casting last. Ironically, because Wee steps back about 3 paces, we're back out of max range compared to when they calculated the correct range to stay at.
They could have just waited for the arrows to be shot and rolled through them towards him, but unfortunately they were a coward
Quick tip: Karian lightsaber on lowlevel is such unexpected and painfull for both of you and opponent, that somehow may cause a panic attak... for both you and opponent...
If you use Loretta's mastery, deselect the enemy, point up or away, then reselect while your facing is no longer dead on, your blasts will arc further away, and actually track to a startling degree.
Like firing off a buncha missiles lol
Standing calmly a centimeter from the point where SoR is out of range while firing a single crossbow quarrel for the kill was such an insult to that mans invasion.

Increasing the intelligence stat won't actually make you smarter

However, raising your faith stat will raise faith in your own abilities.
Happened only too often in Carian Study Hall. That NPC is the most I despised enemy NPC so far. Normally NPCs made to fit in-game rules (well aside of unlimited FP and energy) but this one kept teleporting while shooting Carian Arrow from far.

That crossbow is underrated. You can get around 430 AR without even optimizing a build for it. Just a great tool to have in a kit.

Bruh. After I did my sorcerer build. I realize how terrible most sorcerers are. Like why are so many of us so damn dumb omg The LEAST you could do is know your range😭
I had a sorcerer duel with a guy who just spammed the crescent slash beginner spell (this was low level) but he didn't seem to catch on that I was just dodging into it for invincibility frames, and his spell was doing nothing.
Idk man I only played mage in pve but the class is definitely pretty unbalanced, the game pretends to give mages interesting spells to use in different situations but in reality the only things you need is comet azur + night comet and maybe carian slicer

@@solaireofastora6173 I mean Elden Ring PvE is actually really easy this time around in terms of "find something to DPS". Speedrunners have had no shortage of weapons or ashes of war to instagib bosses with in seconds flat even barely upgraded.
Because magic is easy mode. A crutch for “gamers” so ER is “accessible.”

Loretta’s mastery actually excels in wide open spaces like that because you can cast it in nearly any direction and it will home in on them as long as you are locked on. It adds for a cool mixup when you shoot off in some direction and they eventually loop around back to hit your enemy
My favorite trick is using Loretta’s Mastery out in the wide open, charging it while aiming backwards and then targeting a player when you’re orientation locked. You fire the arrows backwards and they all hook around and each smash into your target from the side one at a time. Super hard to dodge
