    Worked for me perfect. Several other TH-cams say to uncouple the tank but you are the only one says to leave it settle for a couple minutes. That solved it for me. Thanks

    So I thought this was just the unplug it and plug it back in trick every IT department tells you to do, but it actually worked twice for me. Especially the part about opening the valve SLOWLY.

    Thank you this worked on my grill turned it on slow 1/4 of a turn and it lit right up. Funny I unhooked it three times turned the gas on fast and a little gas came out then I found your video and it lit right up.Over the years I've probably threw many good regulators away

    Thank you for this even though my issue was not with a Holland grill.
    The key is to open the tank valve SLOWLY.

    Most of the time it’s not the regulator. The propane tank was overfilled. Turn the tank on its side and open the bleeder valve for 10 seconds. Works every time.

    • @joshuafoster23
      @joshuafoster23 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends on brand and model and how precise they machine the pieces. Usually there is one at least. Sometimes veg fiber gasket as well but not always on gas fittings if every one of the components are precision tight.

    I have a problem and maybe you can help. I have a leak as seen on this video >>>: Leaking propane gas regulator on grill (enohcs channel). Per the comments on that video, some claim is the tank that has the problem, but I see the leak coming from the connection/fitting in the brass on the LP Regulator hose assembly... can you give your opinion. Thanks.

  • @kmflynn329

    I don't trust the on off knobs. I think they might be cheap and leak. So I turn on/off at propane tank. But I have the slow flame. I will try your way.

    Gas is leaking from regulator regardless of trying what you mentioned. .....must be broken????

  • @francisconovoa589
    @francisconovoa589 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I did that but it didn’t work, then I saw a little hole, I think is a vent on the regulator and the gas leaking through that vent really bad, do I need a new regulator?

    After turing on the gas valve , there is gas leak coming out between the connecting head and the actual regulator . (It is an original new gas hose) Any idea what can cause it?

    • @colbraddock9913
      @colbraddock9913 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it's leaking, replace the whole regulator/ hose assembly, no compromise for safety, being cheap now will cost you later.

    First time connecting tank to grill and it hissed at me while connecting (tank was off) and I almost sh*t myself and walked away to find this. So that’s normal?

      It only needs to be purged when you have tripped the safety regulator and you're not getting enough Flame on your Appliance.

    is it possible that my AMERI-GAS Propane exchange tanks are all bad...I've gotten 3 brand new regulator and hoses from WEBER GRILL and a exchange propane tank it leaks out the regulator yet again. Im thinking its these damn AMERIGAS exchanges that i get down the street at the MARATHON station. I don't have the silly receipt for it however. I see a black rubber gasket on the propane side that is oblong , oval not round...is that my problem? can i replace it or am i screwed at this point? can i put some 3 in one oil on the black gasket to possibly be able to use this damn cylinder (tank) or should i just take this crap tank back. Or do you think i have a 4th f-ing bad regulator and hose from WEBER?? Sorry for cussing so much and thanks for the video. Anyone else want to chime in, please feel free !!!

      Sounds like a possible user error situation no offense meant. We all repeat mistakes until we know better. I'd recommend the mr heater hoses, specifically the ones that have the rubber that doesn't break down.good luck if you haven't solved yet.

      Check out the orifice where the gas sprays into the pickup tube inside the grill sometimes a little spider or a little small insect of sorts will build a web in there. Most of the times it is a restriction in the gas line

      How do you both have the same type of avatars? I don't know for sure but I don't think it's the same because the pressure you're trying to relieve is between the regulator and tank connection.

  • @lmo1131

    Did this twice. Disconnected gas, waited 5 minutes, re-connected, SLOWLY opened the valve on the tank... still low flames. You didn't tell us what other situation(s) this could be.

    Not sure if this guy is trolling or what! But absolutely what he’s done here is just unnecessary and does nothing except having to check again for leaks since it’s a new attempt to make a good seal with the tank 🤦‍♂️
