    We were so frustrated that we couldn't get gas to our brand new 22" Blackstone. We remembered seeing your video as we were binge-watching Blackstone videos, so we rewatched it and ordered the new regulator. Worked like a charm! Thanks so much.

    That's my man. Beat on that regulator with a wrench... I went through the same process yesterday, and I found that a drill does wonders. Just drill it right down the center, and wipe out any low pressure regulation at all, but keep the throughput... Now, my grill gets up to about 1,500 degrees. Much improved.

      @@rootboycooks so what pressure do you recommend it for a Blackstone 28 inch? This is the first time using one of these things and I went ahead and ordered it a few minutes ago. Blackstone is sending me another one of theirs, but I honestly don’t trust them at this point. So I just went ahead and went with some thing that somebody used and raves about. I’m seeing complaints online about the regulators that Blackstone sends out with their griddles. Just seems like they have a lot of complaints about this particular piece. I mean, I’m not getting any gas flow at all. It’s ridiculous.

    I started having the same problem with my one year old 36 inch blackstone. 3 days it lit and had a low flame, then a few seconds later high flame. It did that about 3 times. I decided to reset the regulator,, when I kneeled down by the tank the regulator hose blew up throwing 3-4 flames burning my face, hand, right contact, hair, and eyebrows. Blackstone cookers be careful please, and keep burn cream near by.

      @@rootboycooks Got the regular in, and quick lesson learned, make sure to remove grease trap before lifting up griddle on side lol, anyway, worked like a charm, turned on the tank, and after lightning the grill with the red adjustable knob I was able to adjust to the level of flame we needed and the flame stayed blue perfectly, and just for the sake of doing it I turned it a little higher and noticed was so much pressure it blew the flame out, but was just for my own curiosity, but just had to let you know how it went.

    As someone who is still on the fence as to Blackstone vs. Camp Chef, the need to do a home repair so soon after purchase kinda' doesn't bode well for Blackstone. Then again, I could tell a few horror stories about new items I've purchased and to to repair way too soon (Dell computer, anyone?). Anyway, now that you've masterfully found and fixed the problem, time to Rock that flattop!

    Hey boss I bought that little adapter and it fit and it works but I still have trouble getting my 22in lit when I was in between hoses I took my air compressor and blew out all the metal ports not sure how this red regulator knob works I mean I turn it but the gauge never changes I tried pressing down on it fairly hard and turn it and I still can't get the gauge off of 0 which probably explains why i can't get the left side lit any suggestions?

    • @rootboycooks
      @rootboycooks  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If the right side lights but the left won't there is a problem in the burner bar.The gauge only moves little bit, 3 psi max! Please be careful!

    Thank you for sharing! I am going through the same Blankety Blank issues!
    How is the new regulator doing? Is it still working like you described? I am going to order it also (Your Linked regulator). I was going to junk the grill before I saw this video.
    I have already purchased a new regulator from BS, just like the original. That was more time and money wasted. It seemed like Black Stone's initials was for something besides Black stone.
    Also I noticed the regulator you show at the beginning (your original) has the reg.at the tank. My original has the reg. at the grill. I was told that if I bought one that has the reg. at the tank , that would sole my issues. So your video proves that wrong as well. Thank you and I hope you can comment if this set up is still working fine.

    • @rootboycooks
