I never, ever thought I could give up desserts, cookies, sweet tea, etc, but I did with your help from this book. I feel so much better in many ways, and have even lost 6.8 pounds! Thank you. You are such a motivator. I have lost 10 pounds. I feel so much better with no sugar and bread. I’m in good heath but needed to get the extra pounds off. It feels good to have a goal and a healthy focus to set my retirement on. I have been walking and doing water aerobics. That gets me out of the house. Thank you again Vicki
Enlightening! Thank you. I make my own muffins with almond flour and now see that it is in the top 3 ingredients. I use 500g carrots, 300g blueberries but then 250g of almond and chestnut flours. If I added 300g of raspberries, would the dough still hold it together? Thanks in advance to any bakers out there who can advise me.

I'm doing 16-8 for prediabetes. I scored 3 on all but sugar. I have 1 tbsp in my cocoa (almond milk and pure cocoa) end of day. I am looking into replacements. What I am finding difficult is balancing macros. I had to start adding oatmeal back in to keep me regular. Low carb is so hard on my IBS. Getting enough calories is hard too so I added nuts to my oatmeal and now my fat % is too high.. A huge learning curve happening here. Luckily I have always eaten mostly whole foods. Used to make my own sourdough everything. Not a big bread eater so a loaf a month. rarely pasta and rice and potatoes. The 8 cups of popcorn at night did me in LOL and beer.. 🥴🙄

No. Grinding flaxseed is different than processed seed oils that are pulled out of the seeds with heat and chemicals and used to make processed foods. Grinding at home is fine.
