Sadly, the playhouse was torn down almost a decade ago and replaced with the most unimaginative apartments in Center city. great video apart from that!

I live in Society Hill and the pavements are made out of marshmallow. And the street lights are licorice. The streets are gold and the people are gingerbread. Wonderful place.

@@venturephilly After my career in Washington cratered, I didn't realize I could afford to live at the Claridge.I dated a realtor years ago and fumbled the second date we were supposed to have. I grievously regret that now. BTW, I was dining on Rittenhouse when that young developer was killed and the murderer got away with it. The women in places like Rittenhouse and Society Hill are glamorous and so were the ones @upenn. They were unforgettable, and I've never forgotten them. Your videos are great.

It has its flaws but much better than most cities in America. Have you ever visited St. Louis, Memphis and other cities out in the south and mid west? Those cities are empty and lost massive population. People complain about Philly but it’s much worse out in the middle of America.
