      That's great to hear! I hope you're enjoying your new 60D. I've made a handful of videos about the 60D, I hope some of these will help you with different aspects of the camera.

    thank you, set up my canon 77d and 90d with your video (90d main camera, 77d pc webcam with highest sharpness and a little bit lower contrast than middle is perfect)!

    Question: I've been using this camera since 2011, but messed with the settings recently for video. Now, the amount of light the camera is letting into the frame while we film changes constantly. It's awful! I've gone through everything but it's still happening. What video setting is making the video image darker, then lighter, then darker, etc? I've disabled auto lighting optimizer. You'd think I'd know how to use this thins after 11 years. Thanks man!

    Not knowing the Ronin-SC will not hold my new BMPCC 6k pro, I have to bust out the Cannon 60D to get gimbal shots until I am allocated to next years budget to get the Ronin-S. This has been very helpful thanks for taking the time to make it.....Again lol

    A question, for nature filming what configuration do you recommend? Thanks a lot

    • @reelfilmmaking101
      @reelfilmmaking101  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I've done a lot of video and nature photography with the Canon 60D, I think it does a great job. I like to shoot as much in camera as possible so I don't have to do a lot of editing afterwards. I like using the modified neutral picture profile that I showed in this video, but I've also used the standard picture profile too for nature videos and photos. I feel those two profiles help me recreate the best and most natural colors when I'm shooting nature. I also usually manually set my white balance, which helps me get a specific look rather than shooting with auto white balance. Hope this helps! Feel free to ask me anything else I can help you with!

    • @reelfilmmaking101
      @reelfilmmaking101  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, the autofocus is not great on the 60D, but you can totally use it for TH-cam videos. I made a video about getting better focus with the 60D, hope this helps!

      There’s NO continuous autofocus in video mode. Just so new viewers note before buying the camera. I wouldn’t advise anyone to buy it for video.

    • @habibasamiha6047
      @habibasamiha6047 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      De Gohilla yes 😫 thats not like we cant use it for video its a little bit tough

    There’s NO continuous autofocus in video mode. Just so new viewers note before buying the camera. I wouldn’t advise anyone to buy it for video. There are waaaay more advanced cameras in this price range. E.g Canon M100, 700d, 750d, M50, etc.
    Good video though!

    • @reelfilmmaking101
      @reelfilmmaking101  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I totally agree with you. If someone is asking me about a new camera and they want good autofocus and want to do youtube/talking to camera content I usually point them towards cameras like the ones you mentioned particularly the M50.

  • @sevenson8582
    @sevenson8582 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Please is the 60d worth buying in 2020 cause I want to buy one would you recommend I buy it

    • @reelfilmmaking101
      @reelfilmmaking101  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you're wanting to do photography and videography(that's not talking to camera style content) the Canon 60D is a great option! Lot's of lens options, solid camera, and tons of room to grow with. If you want to vlog, or do more studio style I would recommend the Canon M50 or the Canon SL2. Hope this helps!

    my 60D menu is different from yours. How to I get your menu list?

    • @reelfilmmaking101
      @reelfilmmaking101  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Make sure your selection dial is set to movie mode. When it's set to some of the other modes it disables or hides some of the menu features.

    • @chinye107
      @chinye107 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@reelfilmmaking101 i got the menu for movie but only have 1080p for 25fps instead of 30fps. why is there different?

    • @reelfilmmaking101
      @reelfilmmaking101  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In your camera settings you need to change the region from PAL to NSTC. This controls different frame-rates a camera can shoot in. Different regions default to different frame-rates so your camera was probably produced in a region where they use PAL frame-rates.

    When I put mine in manual my screen goes black

    • @reelfilmmaking101
      @reelfilmmaking101  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This could be because it defaults to the viewfinder rather than the live view. Try changing you camera to manual mode and hitting the video record button, that should bring up the "live view" on your screen. Hope this helps!!

    How to get 30 frames

    • @reelfilmmaking101
      @reelfilmmaking101  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There should be an option when you go to video resolution settings in your camera to change from 25 to 30. If you don't see that check what region you camera is set to, NTSC or PAL. NTSC will give you 24, 30, and 60 frames.
