This is why I LOVE this game's music, it uses cheeky samples here n' there in unexpected places. There's also a voice-like sample (sounds like it's saying "slot") & an off-beat creaky noise!
Sorry for responding to an old comment but I always felt a little uneasy especially with the angel statues, like one was going to come alive somehow like a weeping angel situation or a ghost was going to escape, this game made me feel uneasy a lot and i found myself wanting to hop in and out of wherever
Aside from these place holder comments, I could really listen to this all night! This is the only music from the OST that sticks out to me for some reason.

Something about looking at all of the ghosts' portrait, wondering if they were still "alive" and looking back at me haunted me as a child. I dunno, this game made cute look scary sometimes and I love it!
Bit disappointing that Dark Moon and Luigi's Mansion 3 only gave us a virtual gallery. Sure, this allowed us to see the captured ghosts in motion, but the Ghost Portraits of the first game had so much style and charm to them, and it was so nice being able to walk around and explore this space freely.
late reply but the metallic chugging noises are also in this game's version of totaka's song! and the little higher squeaks every so often are taken from the catching ghosts theme, very fitting for e gadd

One of my favorite locations in all of gaming history. I would spend so much time here just looking at the portraits and relaxing to this music.
