Nothing can compare to playing this game on the ps2 when I was about 14, on a misty evening. It was just about to be midnight after being lost for hours, I just had to turn it off! The tension had built to the point the sound of a door slamming was enough to break me haha. Like, no game made me turn the game off and turn the lights on, actually walk outside for fresh air. That's what I love about Silent Hill. The constant unknowing, while the atmosphere really brings the mystery, paranoia and feeling of dread. Not forgetting the monsters, One of the most original creatures seen in horror a long time. Nothing compares to the fear of not knowing what might fade closer out of that void of dread

I remember deliberating if buying a PS was the right console purchase. After RE, SH, Fatal Frame and other unforgettable series came out, I doubted no longer. Thank goodness for emulators as checking used prices on these old, original discs to nostalgia play again almost gave me a heart attack.
