    A agre about the little "bobo" stuff in a IFAC kit. In 99% in a normal day is this the intems we use the most.
    In my IFAK a put a small thermal blancet. The "H" in the MARCH protocol.
    Thanks for this nice video !! (Sorry for my Englisch...)

    Very informative! I will be making my Vanquest exactly like this! I replayed this like 10 times to make sure I was ordering the right things. I appreciate this video!

      Far better you get the training first then you will know what kit you need rather than watching TH-cam videos. I highly doubt you will use a chest decompression needle and I will bet money you won’t know how to use it even if you have it. Concentrate on knowledge and training rather than buying all the “cool guy kit” 🙄

    Can you make a video on travel/deployment luxuries you may carry? Maybe the little things worth the weight to boost morale when in stressful or long commute situations?

    I like it, I like to carry kits; breaking up med kits are a good Idea, I also like the idea of carrying a kit designed for yourself; then a kit for everyone else. Great stuff

    Not advisable to take asprin or ibuprofen when possible bleed situation may arise.
    Antiplatelet drugs, such as aspirin & ibuprofen, prevent blood cells called platelets from clumping together to form a clot.
    This will hinder blood clotting and may allow addational bleeding which is counter to what is needed during wound treatment.
    For pain control it is best to take Tylenol (acetaminophen) as this is not classified as a blood thinner-type of drug and will not delay blood clotting.

    I enjoyed the video . I'd like to see a comparison between the IFAK that you just showed and the military issued one that you don't like as much and why . I look forward to any other video ideas that you have . Thanks for posting !

    Thanks for sharing your IFAK. I would be interested to see the layout and contents of the black FATPack since it is larger. Always looking for your creative ideas.
    Still looking forward to your report on the Electronics Kit bag from your 72 hr Travel bag. I think I have figured it out from the still photo, but I'd like to see your layout.
    As an encouragement to you, remember your video on the Trident 31? I've been saving up and am putting my kit in one of the new Gen-3 bags. Vanquest hopes they will be released in the next 30 days.
    Thanks for taking the time to share. Your creative ideas are well planned and helpful to us back home. As we tell our SWAT members as they leave the Mobile Command Post, BE SAFE.

    You can't use an aspirin if you have bleeding, because the blood became more liquid!
    There are some analgesics, that can be used in time of bleeding wound!
    Use your aspirin only in civil time.
    And if you have any travm, that NOT connected with bleeding, chest, pelvic and stomac, and loosing of consciousness (head travm too), you can use aspirin.
    Greetings from Ukraine! And have a good holidays.

    Is it necessary to take a boo boo kit ?

    • @PreparedAirman
      @PreparedAirman  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      In my opinion yes. Some of the worst infections come from the smallest cuts and scrapes especially when your running around a third world country.

    Great stuff! Would like to see the issued one as well. How do you feel about keeping the CAT out in the open like that, considering debris in the vecro? And no eye shield or shears? Thanks for sharing!

    • @ThePreparedNorseman
      @ThePreparedNorseman 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      And i always keep my tape wrapped, or else i find all my stuff get covered in glue...

    • @PreparedAirman
      @PreparedAirman  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I haven't hand any issues so far with the CAT being exposed. The velcrow is covered up well. It may get alittle dusty but nothing major. As for my trauma sheers i run them externally on my plate carrier for quick access.

      @@PreparedAirman Thanks! Recently watched a video showing the usgi tourniquet pouch and I thought the design was great. I guess it depends on what type of environments one is out and about in all day.

      I dont keep one mainly because of space and perfomance in my opinion.

    I’m convinced we should be carrying a trauma pack nearly every time we’re doing an outing, etc. but how do we deal with everyone who has no clue how to use the basics? This part drives me crazy.

      Training. Be it yourself or someone else. Training is a must. Turniquiet usage and pressure bandages are an easy start.
