Just for those looking for an answer, you can use one v mount and slide it all the way to one side. Its tight but ive done it without balance weight. Thanks for the video.
Nice to see your evolvement with your Float. I discovered your first Float video when I was researching the possibility of buying one for myself. I ended up purchasing the handheld version with the idea of using it as an alternative to the EasyRig and it is great for that! I am actually in the process of buying and adding just the post from Tilta so that I can use my CamTV Phrofet gimbal on it too! Glad to here that you are getting to grips with yours.👍🏾🙏🏾
Got my float a little over a week ago. It most certainly takes practice to get the balancing and setting up right at first, but what a great piece of kit.

I'm thinking of buying the Tilta, I'm a certified Steadicam Op., I sold my Archer a few years ago, but I would like that you learn the proper terms for the parts of the rig, like gimbal, post and better yet use a foldable table to set up your nice Tilta, don't do it on the bare floor and specially on top of grass, always check your gear list the night before so you don't forget items.... sorry for the rant but I love anyone that wants to move the camera around, keep up the good work and shoot straight!!! Enjoy!

Great video. Anyway, one minor disagree with your statement "It's not a Steadicam, and, you won't use it like a Steadicam." I would argue slightly differently: Once you feel so familiar with the device and can master the moves like on a Steaddicam - then, you will master any of the desired moves with the Ronin RS2. And you provide some evidence with your recommendation for accurate balance of the arm into every dimension. Otherwise you end up with the RS2 fighting your poor balance or shaky movements. Great video, tough!
Good job! Just got Tilta Float today. Can you explain why my steady cam pole looks fine horizontally but once I go vertically, the steady cam pole keeps going back into the horizon? The problem is that it seem to tough to balance it now on the spring arm.
I got my float and found the 4 way adapter but there’s no nato rail clamp accessory like you have so i can clamp the 4 way to the battery plate. Did they forget mine?! I bought a third party one on Amazon but i need longer screws for it to work so I’m just using the single nato rail that comes stock on the adapter. I can still balance it but the 4 way would defiantly give me a little more wiggle room when balancing the battery weight.
Hmm and its the tilta float model? And like i mentioned if you check the bottom of the tilta arm there's a space there. If not, someone might have messed you over on that man and im sorry 😔. But yeah it would definitely help to have the cross plate so if you can find it on b&h photo, go ahead and order it on there.
@@Gvijinfilms yeah I have the float same as you. The cross plate was under the arm found that when I first opened its. It’s the nato rail that attaches the 4 way adapter to the battery plate, that’s missing item from my float. I’ve still be able to balance it with the single nato rail that was in the kit so I’ve been going decent with it on this first shoot with it. I’m on day three now and love it! I’m still not fully tuned into it but so far it’s been much better than just hiking the ronin Rs2 like regular. Once I get home next week I’m starting my TH-cam tech channel with my quick overview using the float for reality tv.

The battery plate that the vmounts are attached to have a lever you use to adjust the roll
