ImpactNV 10 Year, 100,000 Tree Program

On Earth Day 2022, ImpactNV launched an ambitious urban forestry program to plant 100,000 trees in Nevada over the next 10 years.
Nevada’s communities facing economic hardships (poverty, unemployment, low vehicle access) often disproportionately experience environmental challenges like pollution, lack of green spaces, and extreme heat. Our 10-Year, 100,000 Tree Plan aims to address these issues through tree planting, prioritizing areas with low tree equity scores and in disadvantaged communities. In just two years, we’ve planted almost 2,000 trees, with a focus on drought-tolerant species that enhance canopy and heat resilience.
