    I'm autistic and I've been using cannabis for years now. Although, it started as a recreational drug, but over time, I noticed some changes when I smoked weed and when I didn't. And people around me seemed to "get along with me" more when I used cannabis. It isn't because of the "high" cannabis gives me, but the side effects of cannabis usage over long periods of time which help me deal with some of my autistic traits. Although I do enjoy the effects of THC, CBD is mostly what helped me.
    Living in Canada, and with the complete legalization of Marijuana, it is much easier for me to have access to good quality Cannabis, and CBD products. And yes, CBD definitely helps me for some of my autistic characteristics, such as Anxiety and OCD.
    Oh, and to clarify, Indica and Sativa are basically two different species of Cannabis. Sativa's are tall plants growing in tropical climate while Indica's are shorter, more bushier plants who usually grows in arid climates and mountains. Either species can have a wide variety of THC/CBD concentrations. It can vary greatly between different plan strains.

      @@audhdcreativity5899 I prefer smoking high CBD Cannabis or vape CBD shatter. I find smoking is easier to control the dosage and the effect are instant, So I smoke micro dosage multiple times a day.
      I vape CBD shatter when I need stronger stuff for my occasional back pain.
      I could use other products, but CBD works great for my anxiety and back problems with minimal side effects. Although I do have to take other pharmaceuticals occasionally as CBD does have its limits of effectiveness.

      @@burny6666 awesome, glad you are finding your best medicinal options :) I enjoy edibles or oils, CBD, or microdosing THC, because they are easy and don't really smell as much as smoking. I just vaped for the first time the other day, an uplifting sativa. Anxiety is a feeling of unease, such as worry or fear that can be mild or severe. CBD is known to curb the effects of anxiety and depression. It can reduce the occurrence of panic attacks and can also be helpful for patients suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). It calms the body and relaxes it, thus reducing the levels of anxiety in the patient.

  • @pixelobservations
    @pixelobservations 5 ปีที่แล้ว +15

    I was prescribed beta blockers because the anxiety and panic was getting so bad my adrenal glands were working over time. I was hesitant to start them due to my low blood pressure and ended up trying cbd gummies just to see if they helped, then I bought some good quality oil. CBD is a total game changer and I highly recommend it to anyone struggling with anxiety. It got to a point where I just knew eventually I would have the panic attack that would end it all, I was suffering so bad that ending my life was going to be inevitable if I didn't do something. I am so grateful for it, it has been since October since having a really bad attack where before I started using cbd I was having panic attacks a few times (at least) a week. CBD has helped regulate my anxiety, my sleep, and overall it just makes me feel better.

      Literally or jokingly? ;-)
      (But no, seriously, literally?) Because it actually is one of mine. Well, not cannabis directly, but more THC, CBD, and similar chemicals, along with psychedelics like MDMA and how it works, along with long-term effects, both negative and positive, their medical potential, how they affect the brain, what changes there physically and chemically and how, and the "why" behind all that, along with the psychology linked to it, so if you're serious, that's awesome! There is just SO MUCH awesome information out there, and the deeper you get involved and connected with the community, the more fascinating it becomes. I've had incredible luck to be connected to a lot of people in the industry there, even first meeting and becoming friends with Rick Doblin oh... around 20 years ago? Wow, been a long time. Had some incredible conversations with him at his house in Sarasota, FL. (Which btw belongs to the company now, not him personally.) Also close friends with a lot of people connected in organizations like Dance Safe and other harm-prevention groups.
      Basically anything that I see as having long-term potential to not only treat diseases/injuries/conditions but to actually cure them or permanently improve them in some way. CBD reduces inflammation among other things, which prevents damage to joints. Even if you used it for 5 years and then stopped, that damage would still have been prevented, so to me, it's a good thing long-term.
      But really though, is it actually an SI for you?

  • @Demanfox644
    @Demanfox644 5 ปีที่แล้ว +16

    In USA you have to be 21 to use CBD products. The great thing about this is that it's 100% legal in all states in the U.S. but in the states the product is not regulated. Also you should talk to your doctor before consumption.
    I tried CBD gummies and CBD oils and CBD Vapes. I prefer the gummies because they have minimum nasty flavor and is the easiest to disguise so people aren't so nosey. And they work the best on me. Everybody is going to be different on finding what works for them. Hope this info helps.
    Also just want to say thank you very much for your video content and everything. And I've watching you for quite some time now. With having my own disabilities and finding my own voice you have helped me so much.

    • @ArtemisKitty

      Regarding the disguise bit, I use a small breath-spray bottle with an unscrewable cap that I can just refill. Add a little vanilla and maybe even some peppermint oil and nobody ever notices, except to comment occasionally that I smell minty if I've just had it. Plus that makes it really easy to dose, right down to the mg if you want, since you can easily dilute it to any strength with coconut oil or other MCTs.

These are nervines and help anxiety. What your eating is huge also. I Took out gluten, sugar, alcohole and caffeine and it's made a huge difference. Ty so much for the review. CBD's are helpful for seizures and I've been using it in my cancer recovery and it helps aches and pains. Its extremely sad and criminal that the laws didn't allow for it, arrested parents and caused so much pain. I think we need to demand our rights and stand up for our rights to health. Government obviously doesn't care. Many lives have been lost and degraded because this was repressed for so long. Ty and greatest luck using it.

      Oof, but the St John's Wort BURPS. >.> (And don't even try to pretend you don't know the ones! ;-p At least you only taste the CBD once!) I'm absolutely with you there though on the L-Tyrosine (L-ALA is also great there, and a lot cheaper) and B, though. I'd also suggest adding some vitamin E (cheap) and magnesium to that blend there, as it helps us a LOT and also seems to work synergistically for us here, particularly in leveling moods. Helps sort of smooth things out like a capacitor does by eliminating current spikes, so changes aren't as rapid, allowing more time to deal with them before they get out of hand. Also helps protect brain cells directly, but that's another discussion, lol.

The manager of the shop is very kind as well and has lots of information and is very professional. So why not try?

    • @shsh-hv9dg
      @shsh-hv9dg 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Hvime vaping cbd is a more effective delivery system for cbd, compared to ingesting cbd. It also kicks in faster. But the down side is it probably isnt great to be inhaling, we dont know the long term effects on the lungs, but we know for a fact it is at least 98% safer than smoking (according to the world health organisation). But still probably notable great route of administration cannabidiol. Cbd itself if safe for the lungs but the carriers may or may not be safe.
      Smoking cbd flower is verry effective again, but its smoke.
      No where near as harmfull as ciggarette smoke. No one ever got cancer from smoking weed directly.
      But longterm cronic smoking of cannabis can cause bronchitis.
      Although this is longterm cronic use, it is still not good to inhale smoke into the lungs.
      So they are the most effective way of absorbing cannabidiol, but not the safest. Also the effects kick in much faster but I turn dont last as long.

    Also... I know this is reeeally nit-picky, but Cannabidol is a brand name (trademark), whereas the actual chemical you want is Cannabidiol. So if you're searching, look for that. I know it's just a small difference, but it's like "Sharpie Industrial Ultra-Fine-Point Marker(TM)" vs "fine-tipped permanent marker".
    (edit: I HATE how companies do that - try to latch onto a name and call themselves something JUST different enough to legally get away with it, preying on people's confusion that THEY are creating. This leads to misinformation, FUD, and difficulty researching, ESPECIALLY when they list a trademarked blend (Which is just a 100% ratio that's been renamed!) to the ingredients list, as if it were the actual name of what it is... You don't see "xxx brand sugar, yyy brand corn syrup" type ingredients listed on food, do you? So why do this? Oh right. So google searches ONLY result in their brand product. I don't know if they're one of the best, one of the worst, or in the middle, but I DO know this is some seriously shady marketing here, and the way it's implemented in multiple ways confirms it's not just coincidental or unintentional...)
    So yeah. Search for it WITH The extra "i" to get real results.

    Well please respond to this comment. For keeping it short sale, I'm a addict. 31 and for most my adult life struggled with opiate addiction and alcohol. I would smoke if I could but I can't because my job. I'm actually getting treatment currently for opiates and got that part handled, but I can't help but not come home from work every night and take 8 shots of vodka ☹️. It's been my life for 2 years now. I can't keep my food down anymore and lost alot of weight and even puke blood sometimes a little. Somethin has to change soon. If I could just smoke I would in a heartbeat but my opiate treatment program drug tests me every week and if I failed for pot I would get kicked out and then my life would fall completely apart because I would be popping 20 tabs a day and stealing pawning shit and lose my job and everything I've worked so hard for trying to figure everything out. I need a appetite.....back in the day I remember smoking gave me the munchies, I need the munchies SO bad now. I need to crave food I need to eat. Do you think cbd gummies are something a guy struggling to pay his light bill each month barely getting by trying to hold on should invest in in a $20 bag of gummies at my local gas station that I don't even know if it's one dose? I don't mind to go without something else for a month to invest that $20 in some just to see if it will help me be able to eat and maybe even curve a drinking craving before bed. Ps sorry for the long message bro😕. Ps really look up to what ya do and ur channel and good to see you helping people. God bless and happy 2020

    I was literally pulling up a few videos on TH-cam to watch while mixing another bottle of CBD oil now when I saw this. I buy a full spectrum CO2 distillate CBD concentrate and dilute it in coconut oil with a drop or 2 of vanilla. That way I can just use a couple drops under my tongue at that strength and it's not too strong or to weak, plus it doesn't taste awful. I can also just add a couple drops to anything I'm about to eat and it works great with coconut oil. Also much cheaper this way.
    And most importantly doesn't taste like a dirty sock, the way the commercial CBD oil drops tend to. Yuck!
    I generally buy 1G at a time of isolate/extract, which contains 995-999mg of CBD, for $50-60 at the most. That's for a good brand name one, and that's literally just $0.50-0.60/each. Just make REALLY SURE that you have a good milligram scale with at LEAST +/- 0.5mg precision for this stuff, because it's POTENT.
    Anything oil, alcohol, or sugar-based helps a lot with the flavor, as the taste is actually oil based.
    Regarding where they get it, you're pretty spot on, but for more info on that, selective breeding has created strains of marijuana now without THC but lots of CBD, along with CBN, CBG, CBT, and a whole what they call "entourage" of complimentary cannabinoids. Both my partner and I have found it to be greatly beneficial. As they've said "It makes it so I don't hate my job" due to the stress relief combined with a lot less joint pains etc. that office work otherwise causes flare-ups with (fibromyalgia).
    If anyone has any questions or would like any more info, I have been doing this for over 10 years now, have helped spread the word to as many people as I can about how beneficial this can be (and deliberately avoided going into that business, because then my word bears less weight when it could just be for my own financial gain), and have spent hundreds of hours talking to people, plus thousands of hours reading study after study, message boards, etc. and spoken to lots of friends who are connected in the medical marijuana industry, because this, for me, has been a huge obsession since I started learning about how chemicals affected the brain when I was younger. Almost 30 years since I became interested in the mechanics behind it, but that's yet another story, haha, and I'd say this is probably a pretty good indicator of my likelihood of being on the spectrum (just one of many signs, though - it's more a question of WHERE on the chart do I belong at this point).
    It is legal in the United States, so there's no problem there, and unlike THC based medications, it doesn't impair you in any way that would prevent working or driving or anything like THC can.
    Just make sure you get full-spectrum CBD, and do NOT get any isolate or extract that is ISO/Propane/any sort of other chem solvent based - go with either a full resin extract/cold press extract (expensive) or a CO2 based isolate. That way it not only has the CBD, but also the other complimentary CBG, CBN, CBT, etc. More info on those also available, including why just the CBD by itself is so much less effective, and why sometimes you can get it extracted from hemp but it has almost no effect vs. the same strength CBD extracted from marijuana strains without any THC.

Seems like the code only works once so will have to get somebody else to order me some if I want to stock up on it. Also I hear that it won't be too long until people on the spectrum can apply for a medical cannabis card. I hear that some parts of America allow medical marijuana for autism/aspergers so it's only a matter of time ( for UK) I guess. Cheers

    • @haleyhunt2666
      @haleyhunt2666 ปีที่แล้ว

      @VivianCharly No, it absolutely does not. And there’s actually 3 different kinds of CBD. There full spectrum, which still has THC, but usually no more than .03%. Then there’s broad spectrum, which has had the THC pulled from it, which could still have the possibility of traces of THC. Then there’s isolate CBD, in which there is NO THC. So you have plenty of options to choose from and play around with and you do not get the psychoactive effects that you would get from THC in CBD

    I am not diagnosed yet but I have always felt in my heart I have some form of autism...and now that I'm smoking CBD cannabis daily I just don't like going without. I firmly believe that CBD is really beneficial to those with autism and spectrum disorders. Children, I would discuss with their pediatrician first of course. But it can work miracles. For autism and seizures. My dear friend from school uses CBD for her epileptic seizures, and it gave her quality of life back, in ways that astound me.
    For me personally, I get a way more enjoyable experience smoking CBD flower than regular marijuana. I was a daily marijuana smoker for years and years, and CBD is different. It's enjoyable in all the ways I hoped for, without the bad things you can feel sometimes from too much THC. I am so incredibly grateful for this being available now. Smoking the flower helps me more than oils and gummies for some reason. It's almost instant relief!
