How is Tony able to get away with putting his hands on a made guy without some kind of reparations? I'm talking about when he beat up Mikey and hit him with the staple gun.
The Sopranos was really well done in how they only gradually revealed Tony's ruthless and violent side. When we meet him he's having a nervous breakdown and needs a therapist and has fixated on some ducks in his pool, a sympathetic figure. It's really only in the second and third seasons we learn just how dangerous it is to be anywhere around him.
It’s not just gradually revealing it, you’re actually watching him degrade and get worse than when he started. In the end his goal of getting better fails. And we see this through Melfi refusing to treat him any longer.

The scene Tony is smoking the cigar was named by Chase as, "Tony owns the world". Its by far my favourite scene along with Thru and Thru by the Rolling Stones, it just hits different to the rest. The whole build up to that point of him lighting that cigar is just magnificent, and satisfying. Everyone in the show from writers, jaw dropping acting from all the characters, to music choices, camera shots etc leads to a scene so resonating with the audience, creating a unique bond with the lovable rogue that is Tony Soprano. That beautifully that short scene subtly leads to a hair raising moment. I will always be in love with this show. Nothing compares.

When he meets Feetch energy with Feetch energy, it's a nice reminder, in this broad complicated character-driven world they wrote - that Tony didn't end up as the boss by accident.
Very good compilation. I want to say, as far as I've gathered, from interviews and everyone who knew him, on the show and elsewhere, Gandolfini was actually really sweet. Point being, his acting is even more impressive, the rage and darkness he shows. Everyone said he was the opposite.

The only thing is, AJ was like 19 at the time. He was 13 at the beginning of the series and this was in season 6 so that would have made him 19. Although I don't approve of him overall, I happen to agree with Tony here. AJ had graduated high school but did not go to college, hated to work and actually got fired from Blockbuster Video. In short, he was a bum.
