A couple of interesting things...one, the Oval Office, arguably the most famous room, isn't even in the White House proper (the middle part) as the West/East wings didn't come along until what, a little over a hundred years ago? And in the 40s/50s the whole White House was completely torn down (except the very outer shell) and rebuilt from scratch. So don't get TOO excited about the so-called "Lincoln Bedroom"...because it (and the other rooms) were actually built in the 40s/50s.
Much of the furnishings remain historic though, such as lincoln’s bed, lighting fixtures, mantlepieces, clocks, chairs, the grand piano, the paintings, etc.
*Loved it! I was born in Arlington Hospital and raised in Arlington. The White House is but 15 minutes away and, of course was always part of **_my personal History!_*

The U.S. government should build a black-colored replica of the White House called the Black House somewhere in Southern California. That way, having the White House in the northeast corner of the U.S. and the Black House in the southwest corner, there would be perfect balance and harmony in the United States when it comes to structure and function. The U.S. could then be represented on a map in the coloration of a Ying and Yang symbol, with the White House and Black House represented as the white and black dots, respectively, on opposite sides of the black and white-colored United States. They could even build an underground tunnel for a high-speed train that travels in a straight path from underneath the White House in Washington, D.C. directly to underneath the Black House in California so that the president could quickly and safely travel from one side of the U.S. to the other 😁
Another fantastic journey through time in the same space.. brilliant artistic work - thank you!

Yep! Was literally just the residence for quite a long time. Not sure how they got stuff done without the east wing.
Love how President Adams left the White House. In a common taxi with other citizens. Innocence lost forever 😌
After seeing your last video, I knew this video would be good and you didn't disappoint :)
You are brilliant! Thank you!
Before Theodore Roosevelt, it was known as The Executive Mansion.
Amazing how the White House changed over the years.
It's interesting to see it with nothing around.

Came here to see if the burning was noted. 👍🏼
I wonder why the reconstruction of the White House during the 50's wasn't included?
It was, there was flashes of light representing the interior changes. The outer "shell" remained untouched during renovations.
I really want to know why the population dropped off in the 1960s. Fascinating video, awesome to see it devolve and then evolve in time!
Urban flight in combination with more federal office buildings and lobbyist buildings downtown and more single family homes being built in NW DC compared to row houses.
Why are there no pictures of the building of the Whitehouse from bottom to top? Have you heard about the Tartarian?
What happened to the baseball pitch in front of the White House?
I think this is this first vedio that has an audio clip from Trump.
Ball diamonds at the face of the White House from the 1930s to the 1990s.
So, the front door was originally on the other side?
