The story of the baby and mother reunited broke my heart there are not many things that upset me other than my (dogs over the rainbow bridge) what a lovely thing to do never knew it was even possible to do that.
The one with the baby was so emotional i was crying i dont cry as much but that was so beautiful thought it was going be a bit bizarre at first but as mum of a lost baby before birth though it made more sense x thamks for these x
Your hearts are so beautiful! How you “tret” death is beautiful! Tracy in how she handles answering. Trish in how she asks the questions, and her own curiosity. Both of you handle the topic with dignity and love. Also, I feel every person that Tracy has prepared has meant something to her and holds a huge part of her heart. I hope my loved ones meant that much to the morticians, embalmers, and funeral directors when they worked on them. I’ve lost a lot here lately due to Covid and many not due to Covid. My Daddy passed almost 8 months ago and that has broken me, the others have kicked me while I was down. Recently, a lady who was like another mom to me passed. She begged my mom to allow me to go on a trip when I was 14. She promised my mom to take care of me like her own. Since that day, she has! My mom loved her too! They have mothered me at the same time too...or ganged up on me! LOL My heart can’t take much more.
Hi again Mary, thank you for such caring kind words means a lot to us both 💚 Sending our thoughts to you on such a tragic year you are having very sad, we are so sorry to hear this. Have you sort out any bereavement councils to help you through and also just for some support as it sounds like you are not getting that at the moment. Think this would be good help for you. No words can comfort you in this moment of deep suffering, but hopefully sharing your story with us helps you a little 💚💚 Please stay safe and healthy, all our best and good wishes to you all the way from Downunder Australia 💚💚
thank you. I have started yoga, well I did before my knee surgery and I have ONLY missed one yoga practice since the knee surgery. It's been a major help. And my churches. You ladies helps sooooooo much! Just to know it's not morbid and there's a possibility that my loved one could be loved so much by a lady like Tracy. I know my Daddy helped in military rites at funerals of veterans. So when he died the Funeral Director knew him and loved him a lot. One of my former students became a barber and asked if he could cut Daddy's hair. He never had cut the hair of the deceased but it meant a lot to him to do it. So we let him. He mostly wanted to thank him for giving me to the world and him. I didn't know that until the funeral director recently told me. Meant a LOT! Tonight I got word my mother's friend since they were kids and called each other sisters, lost her husband. He was like an uncle to me. This pandemic has been rough. I just want you to know that seeing how Tracy treats the deceased helps me a LOT! Thank you for checking on me. What is bothering me is I can't visit people. I can't be there for them like I should or want due to the pandemic. I can't say goodbye like I need to. It's too much! I have one question. When someone comes in hysterical over the loss of a parent or child or someone close to them, how do you personally handle that. I remember years ago, my uncle passed. My cousin was laying over the casket and wouldn't get up. She was wild. Now I told you we knew our funeral director, he grabbed her, nicely and walked her back to a seat. He told her she had all night with him, but needed to take a breather. He took great care of her. He wasn't mean or rude or forceful...he just almost carried her to a seat, VERY lovingly. If not, she would have fainted or something. So what do you personally do when this was happening?
It is so bloody hard not been able to visit and comfort people during these times, but I bet your friends and family just know how much you actually care. Yoga is an amazing way to cope with life's difficulties and find your Zen 💚💚 To answer your question this has happened to me often, usually at family dressing, it tears you apart...I end up crying along with the family and I let it ride out natural when the family are ready to go. Been with family member for 4 hours before. It is one of the hardest parts of the job. Every person is so different in there grieving 😔 We all just need to be kind to each other, please stay strong and healthy, take care from T&T 💚💚

Family dressing are when the family of the deceased come in to the funeral home and dress the loved ones for there funeral. We have a special viewing room with a bed in, the body is place here after I have washed and prepped. A sheet is then placed over the body until the family arrive. Then I will go in with the family and guide them through the dressing. I found my aunt deceased after many days in a heated apartment. She did not smell like rotting fruit or any sweetness about the odor. It was more like putrefying meat. The kind of smell when you're driving along and smell a dead animal. I'm not sure if you meant the rotting fruit smell was after a body was exhumed after time has passed, and it had developed that particular smell.
Hi Jade, first let us say how sorry we are to hear that you found your aunt like that, very sad 😔 You are right decomposition does smell of rotten matter little dead animals and rubbish bins not been emptied for a while, but I have found after many years in the industry and been exposed to this small far to often my senses alway detect a really bad sickly fruity smell I am talking very rotten fruit. Has the smell from decomp make those families that wish to still see their loved one despite you telling them not to view, suggesting they shouldn’t I mean ?
We cover the smell with chemicals as best as we can, which is usually fairly successful, and all we can do is strongly advice they don't view at that stage. But many who do seem to not notice the smell and they come out saying how beautiful their loved one looked despite us knowing they looked pretty baby decomposed. 💚
I must say, your description of a decomp smell is totally different than what I've smelled. Gone off fruit isn't nice but definitely not how I would describe the decomp smell.
I watched a video where "The Big Bopper" was exhumed many years later allegedly because Buddy Holly was carrying a pistol and supposedly there was a round missing, so the tongues started wagging and rumors started going around that Buddy had shot The Big Bopper. SO, they dug him up and took the coffin to a special garage where it was opened and his son said he was remarkably well preserved but the smell was awful and if you left the room, you could not come back in. The coroner examined his body and found that EVERY BONE IN HIS BODY WAS BROKEN, but no bullets were found. I guess it depends on where you were buried, the soil composition, the water table etc. that preserves you more than another place.
I dont know how people can exude such grace talking about stuff as surreal as death. I think you guys have beautiful hearts.

Does water get inside the casket even though there's a vault over it? If so what is the point of a vault?
Hi, above ground vaults don't let water in. Thank you for your question take care 😊💚
I must say, your description of a decomp smell is totally different than what I've smelled. Gone off fruit isn't nice but definitely not how I would describe the decomp smell.
Interesting. How would you describe it Steven?
A great friend pronounces her name "Chairyl," not "Shareryl." Plz forgive phonetic spelling for clarity.
🤗❤️
Thank you for your comments, interesting 🤔 💚
The Big Bopper is buried about 10 miles from my house.
I don’t know why people scream when they see a corpse . 🧟♀️🧟
🤷just part of life and death 💜
I have recently lost my husband
We are sorry for your loss, Susan. Take care 💚
