Go back to Xbox insider and update to Alpha after that update to Alpha Skip Ahead. After the updates go to your video settings and uncheck auto HDR and HDR10+. Load up MS Flight Simulator or Forza Horizon 4 and you will see the Dolby Vision logo on your LG HDMI 2.1 OLED Television. The experts are advising to turn the OLED Light down to 50 while gaming in Dolby Vision.
I literally just picked this up and the C1. Was also thinking HGIG was too dark. I'll try fiddling with the sliders to see if its better. Thanks for the vid
Hgig is not to dark mate but IT depends on the game ofcourse.. but og in a ps5 the hdr settings have 2 be from the buttom 14 clicks 14 clicks and 0🤙 thats the most accurat settings for hdr on oled.. got a C1 my self. And i have IT calibrated. And most professionel says the hdr on ps5 have 2 be 14-14-0

It's really time that you update your Settings for this game Markus. Settings for Rise of the Tomb Raider (Series X) would also be awesome. Right now I'm playing SotTR with HGiG on my LG CX 55 and Brightness MAX with FTDA -8. No raised black levels with these settings and HGiG is bright enough this way and shines.
Amok is you haven't played "The Forgotten City" you should give it a try. If you like games with great story,writing,music,exploration,mystery,visuals this is the game for you. Its a pretty special game. Hidden gem.
Have you tested AC Valhalla to see if the HDR implementation is finally fixed when using Dolby Vision? I’d prefer not to have to play it in SDR. Also thank you for all you do, you have one of the best channels when it comes to analyzing HDR content!

Try to use HGiG und MAX the Brightness with FTDA -8 or -9. Luminance until the sign disappears totally (white). It looks absolutely gorgeus, at least on my Series X.
Hi LG X series owners. LG has already made a statement in regards to the 2020 OLED televisions receiving the Dolby Vision 4k@120 hz gaming update. You will indeed have the update in the coming weeks. 2019 OLED users unfortunately the jury is still out.

It looks fantastic depending on the game. To be honest....I game at 120hz all the time in HDR on my RTX 3090. Dolby Vision on the Series X is extremely smooth on the C9 and CX. It does not look or feel like 60hz. It truly doesn't. LG OLEDS are providing an awesome experience.
Just a suggestion but what about testing some older AAA games that don't support HDR natively but test them to see if they look better in Xbox auto HDR or just without it.
I have a question, they say you need at least 1000nits to appreciate real HDR is this true? Cause ml Lg c2 is like 800 Nits means this that HDR is Not good or . Thanks in advance

How can you still access to Dolby Vision? i'm xbox insider too but it was recently removed or something because i used to be able to use it and now i can't access to DB anymore, everything goes straight to HDR

I really don't know what are you talking about. Tomb Raider supports Native HDR on the PS5 and Xbox. The Xbox on top supports Dolby Vision but not natively that means it will use the HDR10 Metadata.

Dolby digital has always been to dark in OLED, thats been a complaint, same as HGIG

HGIG is the most accurate picture… with DTM on you are adding another process from the tv that’s not accurate
HGIG is the only way at the moment Xbox is doing native Dolby Vision. also think your limited to 60hz.

tv hdr is hocum. Depending on the content, it's better not to have it. sdr is very simple to calibrate without losng contrast and colours

You must sign up to the xbox insider program to get the option on your series x. Its basically beta testing the function.

Turn on 60 hz Mode in Xbox Options (120 hz not work at this time) and turn off Freesync in TV Options.
