  • This video I go through the cleaning process I use to clean carboned up intake valves! I also show a time-lapse of replacing the intake manifold with updated intake!
Follow OE service manual and replace required hardware and seals. Wear proper safety gear.

I've been thinking you must be able to use premium petrol to clean these valves and you are the first person to confirm this can be done. Thank you.

I’m assuming if you use break cleaner it will desolve eliminating any hydro lock concerns right?

It's just generally not as effective. Also if u use it in a spray can it can create a mess.

i have a loud whistle up to 5 seconds after my cold engine started, what maybe the cause? crank case went? 1.8 tfsi CDAA

Definitely sound like a crankcasevent/oil separator! I touch on this at the 7:47 mark in the video. Quick diag - Have your hood open and engine cover off. Start it up, and if u hear the noise, find the vent/separator on the top of the engine and temporarily plug the hole on the side of the round part of the vent/separator. If the noise is gone, then ur vent/separator diaphragm has failed. The diaphragm is sold as a separate part, but I suggest replacing the whole unit, and I would look into if you have other issues that are causing the failure.
*take advice and perform at your own risk*

I assume you are talking about the removal of intake part. I apologize that it's not to your liking, but I didn't intend it to be a step by step tutorial on how to remove the intake. I wanted to focus on the actual cleaning tips and tricks.
