@@ArcanumAscent One of the better comic book movies ever made as far as close to the source material, soundtrack was absolutely majestic and so much better than any of the Disney drivel put out today.
The concept is good to redo. It's just that the Draven storyline doesn't need a redo. The writer did make more comics featuring other characters as the Crow.
What made the flashback scenes work in the original crow is that Eric’s mind was seemingly broken due to coming back and was almost running off of autopilot. When the flashbacks happened, it was his mind repairing itself and not only did the trauma break him down mentally but physically as his body was almost reliving his death when he returned to his apartment. So as the viewer, we are experiencing the same thing because we didn’t have an established understanding of their relationship. So to your point, we got a better since of Eric as a person through his interactions with other characters. As much as it is a revenge story, you feel that it isn’t about just killing them, it’s the lack of justice in the city and how innocent people like him and his wife were victims for nothing.
Yep. It wasn't until the crow led him back to their apartment and he tried to pick up their cat that he remembered what happened, and then the rage set in when he found photos of the two of them and remembered their love. Then he understood why the crow chose him.
Absolutely agree. Great movie with arguably one of the greatest soundtracks ever made hands down. Every night I burn is such a great song, favorite cure song.
Really? I just recently rewatched it as an adult and was very disappointed. Some good moments that hold up, but everything else is very cheesy and hammy - especially the girl and cop.
I've always known about the original but never got around to watching it until the trailer for the new one dropped. It's awesome and aged really well for a 94 comic movie.
If the people we love are stolen from us, the way to have them live on is to never stop loving them. Buildings burn, people die, but real love is forever. - The Crow... The real Crow.
When Jason Momoa, a Crow superfan, walked away from the remake they were about to shoot with him, that should have been a sign to kill this idea entirely.
@@brucekhamp6859 Not saying Jason would've been equal to Brandon or even good as Eric draven. But he at least looked the part when they shot some test footage.
What I hate about this "remake" the most is that Hollywood made Eric and Shelley into crackheads, when James O'Barr created The Crow from the pain he felt when a drunk driver killed his fiancé, and even in the 1994 film, Eric helps Darla to give up on her addiction to care for Sarah... What a disservice and disgrace this movie is towards James O'Barr and Brandon Lee's memory
Saw the movie last night and they're not crackheads in any way shape or form, it's also not a remake of the 94 movie just another adaptation of the comic
When Eric came back for revenge,he developed a relationship with the cop investigating his case,he reconnects with Sarah,Eric isn't just a butcher,so glad the first film also showed Eric's humanity and compassion for others.
I'm glad you pointed out how Brandon Lee's portrayal showed him as a man who wanted vengeance but also didn't want to kill every person he came across. He loved his life, clearly loved his fiancé, and even infused some humor into the character. In contrast, Bill's version was simply unrelatable and unlikeable. I knew this movie was going to be bad; heck, I can genuinely say I don't have a single friend who was interested in or rooting for this reimagining (or whatever you want to call it). But this movie transcends 'bad' in every way imaginable. It's as if the screenwriters sat in a room during pre-production and said "You know all those characteristics that made the OG Crow such a memorable movie? Let's not do any of that."
@@jessejames8900Damn straight . Only ONE Crow, EVER. Only ever going to BE one Crow: Brandon Lee, and he was the ONLY ONE that the world needed, (but the second one, "City of Angels", was awesome). And the original "Crow" and "City of Angels" are all "The Crow" movies the world needs. What Jeremy says at the end of the review, was EXACTLY what I thought when I saw the unfulfilling trailer. This was gonna suck, not live up to the original, "Eric" here looks less like The Crow, and more like a bad, rejected version of the Joker.
When I saw The Crow in 94, the projector messed up halfway through the movie and people were about to riot in the theater when it took forever to fix. I bet people would cheer if that happened with this one.
I saw a comment that basically said "Maybe instead of attempting to remake a classic, they should've gone an anthology route where different people get the Crow's powers."
I’m surprised that hasn’t been the case. I’d love to see a kid get immortality but having to compensate for not having access to guns or adult strength. So, his or her revenge is all manipulation for the most part.
Considering that's how it works in the comic books and that's kind of what they were trying to do with the first 2 sequels to the original crow. I am also surprised that they did not go that route. It seems like it would have landed a lot better.
@@CorporalCookie Were you ever able to watch Stairway To Heaven in its entirety? I had the first set of tapes that came out when I was a kid but I think that there was more to the season that they had released than I got to watch and I have never been able to find anywhere that I can actually watch it.
You don't need a long love story....You need a dark, defiled, & broken city as it's own character being the backdrop where love doesn't exist, so that the picture you get is their love being a rose that grew from concrete that gets tragically destroyed....The contrast doesn't take long...
My take is probably unpopular, but I have no problem with Hollywood remakes… if they are fans of the source material. If they are just trying to adapt it for a more modern crowd, as this failed attempt was, it’s not going to work.
@@davidfoltz4207 In fairness Star Trek 2-the wrath of Khan was written+ directed by a guy with only vague knowledge of the series and that paid off so it's not always a bad thing to get an outsider but of course that is a rare exception.
The original is a solid movie that doesn’t waste your time. Tight story. Great characters. Great action. Awesome soundtrack. It was a 10/10 and still holds up.
The original movie was about a young couple cut down in their prime, unjustly murdered the night before their wedding. The fact that Brandon Lee himself was cut down in his prime in a tragic accident gave the movie huge emotional weight, it was a great performance and trying to remake is disrespectful. Oh, and the fact that the original movie had probably the greatest soundtracks ever made helped too.
Yes! They were really sweet to one another and all those around them. The writers of this newest script clearly didn't get that part of the story which is what carries the weight of the plot. I think Bill Skarsgard is a good actor and is attractive, but my gawd this piece of crap of a movie kills all that, too. I'm going to pretend it doesn't exist.
Watch the ‘94 Crow for the first time a couple night ago. The only thing that stood out was the aged fire on the miniature city at the very beginning, by the time the next dated CGI came up I was invested in the characters and plot that I didn’t mind it, and sometimes didn’t notice. A testament that character and story should be put before spectacle.
I came from the cinema last Saturday night and immediately watched the 1994 version as a remedy, an antidote. I love the original The Crow. Why on earth did I think I needed to see another version? I've never watched any other The Crow movies, and now I know why.
The Charm of Eric and Shelley from the first movie was that they were a shining light in that dark city. Their love was the blooming of something good in a place where corruption had take over, and then it was snuffed out. This movie just makes the protagonists look as seedy as the bad guys and club-goers from the first film. I can't root for grime in a world of grime.
Fun fact, my name is Brandon, and my dad chose my name because he was born in Mexico, and when he got married and my mom was pregnant, he moved to the US to try and figure out how to bring my mom over so they could have a better life here. He was so alone and depressed over here that he went one day to the movies by himself and was interested in the crow, saw it, loved it, found out about Brandon Lee, and was upset about it. He later had a dream where he met me and I told him my name would be Brandon, in honor of Brandon Lee and my dad’s favorite movie. So he named me Brandon. Needless to say, the crow is a pretty big thing in my life 😂
@@SOPHIA-LOVES-MEATBALLS-69 oh well thanks! Nice to meet you too! My dad got back from a business trip yesterday, he wants to go see it so bad. He also told me he was hospitalized most of the trip, doctor today gave him meds for blood pressure and anxiety, hoping it’s nothing bad but he really wants to go see the crow tonight. Idk how much more bad news he can take 🤣 either way be nice to watch it together. Hope you have a great day!
Or another comparison to Batman, the new Crow looks more like those painted up thugs that we'd see the dark knight beat up at the start of The Batman movie.
The 1994 Crow is one of those rare astronomical conjunctions when a perfect cast, a director with vision and hell of a script come together to become something much, much more than the sum of its parts. It was a already a classic the first weekend it released, we just didn't know it yet. Couple that with Brandon's tragic death, and it's damn near sacred. They shouldn't have even done sequels, but this travesty is a stain upon the souls of those involved.
It has cool songs and a few good shots but it’s just a generic action film, no way as deep as the graphic novels. It was made as James O’Barr’s way of dealing with the loss of his partner. You see the main character going through the 5 stages of grief. That’s what made the book appealing. The movie throws all of that out of the window for awful acting, a main character who sounds like he’s talking in emo song lyrics and cheesy deaths. If it wasn’t for Brandon Lee’s death, the movie wouldn’t have achieved the cult classic status that it did. There's no way we would cry like that ober a new adaptation if Brandon survived.
It's no sequel. The 2024 one is a retelling, not a sequel. This is a good thing because due to the technological advancements in the film industry, modern entertainment has more quality and this means less people watch old movies and shows despite amazing storytelling due to the reduced quality. The film industry capitalises on this and make money while storytellers(writers and their cohorts) take this as an opportunity to reimagine great classics using a more modern mindset and it allows modern viewers to enjoy that same story too. In some cases it may be better than the original and this allows the old users to relive it all. Generally retellings are a win win situation but this one just happened not to click with the old The Crow fans. My point is, it's kinda dumb feeling that strongly over a retelling.
@@badoublenana I mean you can tell me my strong feelings are dumb, but I'll just have to disagree. Stories are emotional manipulation devices and I enjoy being manipulated by talented writers and filmmakers. But even on an objective level... what's the win/loss ratio on retellings lately? How are those live-action remakes of Disney classics doing? And are you saying that in another few years, a retelling of The Iron Giant with a "more modern mindset" will be a good idea and will click with audiences? Do we need a new "The Secret of NIMH" with finer lines or less film grain? Now, retellings are not inherently bad. Some great movies are newer versions of old movies such as "The Thing (1982)", "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels", even "True Lies". And Akira Kurosawa's films will keep getting made again and again in many genres, I'm sure. But this new Crow retelling didn't just "not click" with audiences, it just got it wrong. It fundamentally misunderstood the source material and dishonored it. A good "The Crow" retelling is absolutely possible. But I don't think anyone's clamoring for it, and this was was definitely not it.
@@biltrex Disney retellings are actually making money what are you saying? People are hating yes, and to some extent I agree because I watched some of the old ones too and the live action ones are somewhat just the exact same story with better graphics, which isnt what a person who's watched the old version would want, but anyone else would enjoy. My point is, old fans dont appreciate regurgitation, but there's actually more kids who haven't watched disney classics and would die to see them but cant bc of the relatively poor animation. Yes. An Iron Giant retelling in a more modern setting (2024 not the 90s setting it's built in) will most probably be peak even if they fuck it up a little. This is because to us it'll be a regurgitation with a dash of pizazz, but to everybody else its a completely new story. I dont know how you dont see it, but all they need to do is nail the robot's cgi and they're good. At this point youre just being stubborn. The Crow 2024 WASNT FUCKING MEANT TO COPY THE SOURCE MATERIAL. The source material is the BASE. The premise is all they need. "Dude's girl get's killed by some devil dealing weirdo, his love gives him a chance to get her back."(not exactly but you get what i mean by premise). Whatever they decide to develop from that is all up to them. And in this case personally I say they nailed it. Again, it's not supposed to be a replica or a recast with better quality and effects: it's a retelling. Maybe you're being thrown off by the word 'retelling.' A retelling isn't an exact script for script copy of the same movie. It's, as I've explained in different words enough times already, a reimagined version. Same premise, different story. Same characters, different plot progression. Same key events, different ways in which they are explored.
Hold on. Safe to say the producers who thought this would be a box office hit. :Puts on some sunglasses: Are gonna eat some crow. YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

Knowing how much she loves the comic and the original movie, I wonder if she'll put herself through watching the new one. I can see her doing an "I told you!" sort of video, at least.
I'm reminded of that thing about "If they had a show called surfing dracula he'd be surfing on adventures every week, nowadays you'll be lucky if he gets his surfboard in the last episode"
I knew from the reveal trailer itself that they'd fail to capture the wholesome charm of Brandon's version of Eric Draven, probably the main reason that character became so memorable.
As a Y2K Gen Z, I honestly felt a bit insulted when I heard Rupert Sanders say that they updated Eric's look in order to appeal to the "new generation." Uh, hello...many of us were born into the age of Nu-Metal, grew up during the 2000's, and helped make Phantom of the Opera the longest-running Broadway musical! We love Byronic Emo Goths too! ✊🖤 Edit: I cannot *believe* I forgot to mention the Hex Girls when I originally made this, pretty much the *pinnacles* of animated Goth introductions, but better late than never (And on that note, might as well mention the Gargoyles series as well, even though it technically came out in the mid-90's). 😆🧙♀
IKR! I have to agree and I still love some of what I loved as a child, teenager and young adult but I think they want "social media" money when it comes to making a "modern interpretation" of an older classic. If that makes sense LOL. They know there are die hart fans that will go to watch this movie out of loyalty to the source material and those who are loyal to the original movie. But there are people like me that know I dont want to see a movie I loved as an adolescent butchered for the sake of money. LOL
@@didralamond8145 To be fair to this film, I'd been told some years back about the tragedy surrounding The Crow '94 before I'd actually seen it, since my mom has a VHS copy of it in her collection, but even so, when I initially found out about the re-imagining I immediately went "You sure you wanna do that?" To be honest, I haven't watched The Crow in a few years but when I saw the trailer for this "remake' I immediately felt it looked wrong and was trying too hard to make a John Wick style movie out of a great, simple love story. What made the original film so memorable was the fact that it was relatable from a character standpoint and Brandon Lee was so amazing in it that it became such a tragedy because we all wondered what Brandon Lee could have become if he were still alive. Also, after reading through the comments on this, god damn did this movie have some incredible dialogue. I forgot how many great lines there are. Like many have already said, RIP Brandon Lee.
The thing I liked most in the 94 Crow film was how Eric's make up is slowly fading until by the end it's practically all smudged off. Symbolising that the spirit of vengeance is leaving him and his true soul is coming back to be at rest with the woman he loves knowing the people he cared about are safer and better off thanks to his second chance. It was beautiful, tragic and honestly kinda uplifting to see that it wasnt too late and the city wasn't doomed. Good people were left standing. This one only gets the spirit of vengeance make up at the very end. Wheres the sense in that?
9:37 To answer Jeremy's question: It's already been reported that the ending was *deliberately* changed to try and leave it open for a sequel, and in spite of Bill Skarsgard's reservations on the idea. After I see it for myself, I'll be curious know what the original was.
Originally in the 1994 film Eric's powers were supposed to weaken when he interfered with the living. Like when he saved Darla, there's a deleted scene when Funboy comes out of the bathtub and attacks Eric with the straight razor that he took from Darla and he goes down for a second.
wasnt a remake. it was an adaptation of the comics which the original was not. the original had a comic wriitten after its release.this movie is based off a comic already written
The simplest thing to work in the original story and one which shouldn't have been that hard to portray, is the fact the Dravens were really random, no-name, non-violent people, hardly even confrontational. They were murdered in the worst way possible, for a really stupid, low reason. THAT pissed the crow off enough to help Eric right the wrong. Because if it would just be junkies dying violently in LA, that crow would never get a day off.
In my teenage girl room there was one poster. Eric Draven, the Crow. It was a masterpiece and Brandon Lee was iconic. In my world, there is only one The Crow movie. It cant rain all the time, but when it does is a good time to put on the Crow and enjoy 🖤
That's one of the best lines in all of cinema. So simple and yet it tells you everything you need to know about T-Bird's character, motivation, and undoing.
I find it hard to believe that nobody during production was like, hey this doesn't feel anything like the crow...those passionate fans are gonna hate this.
They probably did feel that way but they need or want a job so they kept their mouths shut. I don't know the pay scale for each member of production but I am sure it was more then some people make in a year even for the lowest page job title.
“Passionate fans” were gonna hate it regardless. Either they would think it being too diff is disrespectful or them trying to make it too similar would also be disrespectful.
"This film feels nothing like the Crow, I think the fans are gonna hate this." "I'm sorry u feel that way, but I believe due to our creative differences we won't be working together anymore. Bye bye. Here's your termination papers and your blacklisted from Hollywood." "Wait, these papers say Karen...?" "That's right Karen. Your done." "My name is Greg? I'm a guy!" "Whatever, you sexist bigot. I didn't hire you to tell me what a small group of make sexist bigoted fans like and don't like. I'm making art!"
Keep in mind, this remake already had a turbulent history of being walked out on multiple times by many many people. They were just so damned determined to do it anyway for some reason. How badly do you really want to cash grab this?
Anyone with that level of passion, introspection, or care simply wasn't high enough up the chain to matter. They were there to get a paycheck, just like the countless innocent minions in this movie that were cut down by this sad monochrome clown.
OG: Couple in a disgusting, evil, world, falls in love and is murdered in their home the night before their wedding. New: A couple degenerate drug addicts go on a bender and put themselves in the exact position that gets them killed. What is the better hook?
I lost count on how many reviews I've watched today, but damn do I feel like Jeremy nailed it. That comparison of Lee's straight edge, fun-loving Eric to this new guy is spot on.
The original "The Crow" isn't just a movie to see because of the tragedy around it, but because it IS a good movie. A great comic book movie, in fact. I would encourage anyone to check it out.
What is truly annoying is that there have been multiple Crows in the comics who are not Eric Draven, all who have their own unique story on how they became the Crow, and there is one specifically who actually LOOKS like this 2024 version. . . but they still opted to try and retell the Eric Draven Crow story. Just foolish.
Probably only using the names to retain the filming rights. That’s why so many remakes are being made 35 years after a film is made the original creators can get the rights back if they haven’t been used in a new film.the original Crow is 30
Its cause the original comic was only Eric. Not anything to do with Draven. The movie people added Draven for the movie. Also the best crow would have to be hellbound in my opinion cause he fought his way up until an angel helped him see heaven knowing all the pain and hurt he was put into for his gangster mafia type of crimes. Then when the movie came out brandon did such an amazing job that this is and will always be the only crow while yes if given the parts in the movie for city of angels taken out of the movie it wouldhave made more sense and been better than what was the final product. And salvation was actually good as well if not for the piss poor acting of dunst and her stupid fake acting skills. And wicked prayer was just a horrible mess and even the funny pimp of dennis hopper couldnt help sell that movie.
@@dahhmlifethe last name Draven was never a thing in the graphic novel, it was made for the Brandon Lee movie. The graphic novel just had them as “Eric and Shelly.”
What an insult to the source material. Eric and Shelley's romance worked because we barely saw it. It's counter-inuitive, but the important thing is how it affects the other characters. It's like a monster movie: No flashback could ever do better than what we imagine

Brandon Lee did with the Crow, what most actors work their entire career to achieve. Well acted, well felt, heartfelt, badass, intense... The Crow is a classic, not just in gothic action or gothic horror or comic book/graphic novel adaptations, but in film in general. This movie stood no chance.
I wanted to give the remake a chance, I really did, I'm someone who liked City of Angels (the enhanced work print) and when interviews had the producers swearing up and down it wasn't going to be a remake of the 1994 film but an adaptation of the comic book... then I saw the trailer... at bare bones The Crow is a very simple story and concept so it didn't need the extra complication of the backstory, the Faustian deals, and all the other rules they were trying to put in. The 1994 film understood this and did so well with the visuals, art, the *soundtrack*, and did it all with the same amount of passion and love as a moody15 year old writing their first power ballad; The Crow comic and Brandon Lee film is still a primer for baby goths just getting into the scene. I discovered it in 2004 in middle school and it was the first time I heard The Cure.
Just watched the original, and man, it’s such a great movie. From Brandon Lee’s performance to the cinematography and noir style. The style reminded me of Dark City, and after watching, I found out both films were directed by Alex Proyas. It breaks my heart that Brandon Lee was accidentally killed during production. His performance was soulful.
1994's 'The Crow' was lightning in a bottle. Sublime direction from Alex Proyas, an excellent script from David J Schow and John Shirley, a great soundtrack, and then you have an ensemble cast featuring Brandon Lee, Michael Wincott, Ernie Hudson and more and everyone is cast perfectly.
I grew up in the 80's and my "alternative friend" at our local community college dated this guy, who's cousin was totally into the OG Crow. Last year, the cousin (Jethro) did a cryptic post on Facebook about he was going to update this for the new generation.... 😮🎉
Premise was simple to the point. Tragedy strikes ending with the protagonist coming back from the dead to wreak revenge on those who wronged them. Didn't need the supernatural element except from The Crow. Like the original the added stakes of whether the bird is injured/killed adding stakes. A time limit like the first given 24-48 hrs. Then spend the film watching justice being dealt. Or the little moments like Eric visiting Sara.
It's amazing. 1994 The Crow: 6 (?) Flashbacks and you can tell how pure their souls were and how much they loved each other. 2024: 45 minutes of back story and buildup and we STILL couldn't care less. Hollywood really needs to look at The Crow (1994) and Up to learn how to tell a great and concise love story.
What pisses me off is the actor has the perfect look. There’s fan art of him as The Crow. All they had to do was look at the comic. Which was different enough to set itself apart from the 1994 film. Side note: The comic has my favorite line. “The name’s Mad Jack! Remember that!” “Oh! A poet! Well, Mad Jack, I definitely will remember that.” 💥
This review summarizes what I expected. Thanks for sharing it. I'm still going to see it later when it's streaming. BUT as a 90's goth kid, sorry, Brandon Lee LITERALLY gave up the ghost on "The Crow" ('94) and while I appreciate the lore moving onward...eh. I'm good living in the past.
I love doing a double feature of The Wraith and The Crow. Similar movies separated by a decade. The sequels and this remake will never have their own double features.
I watched the '94 crow on August 31st 2024 after being recommended it by a friend, there aren't many movies that have made me tear up, but the ending was beautiful in a tragic way. I love the scene of the crow holding the ring on Eric's grave stone showing that Eric and Sarah's souls were finally at peace. This movie couldn't hold a candle to the original.
I wont be watching it and not because i'm a a die hard fan of brandon lee. I knew it would end up like this simply from the trailer but i came here because Jeremy always gives and honest review and have come to trust that. I think i'll watch the original tonight.

Really? I just recently rewatched it as an adult and was very disappointed. Some good moments that hold up, but everything else is very cheesy and hammy - especially the girl and cop.

It's more heartbreaking when you find out that Jason Momoa actually wanted to do the movie.
Y’all have to be joking if you think that Jason Momoa would make a good Crow.
Given they'd spent considerable money in development they were never going to kill it.

@@kerry-j4m It's because the original was actually steeped in gothic romanticism and not just a Hot Topic veneer.

The Crow (1994) - Classic
The Crow All Sequels - Forgettable
The Crow (2024) - Edgy Garbage
Not ALL the sequels were forgettable. The crow wicked prayer is a guilty pleasure of mine.
This movie is about as edgy as stuffed animal toy.
The Crow TV series was good.... according in to my teen brain.... plus the lead was one of my fav actors
I thought the 3rd movie was good and tv shows like the 1st movie, but the 4th and 2nd movies were suck.
Nah 2004 better than the sequels
This movie had no Skank! We need more Skank! Dude killed it!!😂
Fire it up fire it up 🥃 lol
What an insult to the source material.
Eric and Shelley's romance worked because we barely saw it. It's counter-inuitive, but the important thing is how it affects the other characters. It's like a monster movie: No flashback could ever do better than what we imagine
I couldn't help but smile when you mentioned Death Sentence. That movie was bombed by critics. I absolutely love that movie. I watch it repeatedly every once in a while
Death Sentence is absolutely underrated.
I LOVE Death Sentence. I shave my own head and often think about Kevin Bacon's scene when he does a far worse job than I do lol... that movie is so tragic lol...
There’s a movie called death kiss and the guy on the poster looks just like Charles Bronson lol
The book was the sequel to 'Death Wish' but they only took the title and made a new story. There was a Jodi Foster film 'The Brave One' around the same time which was also a 'revenge/vigilante film.
I love the movie too the ending always makes me sad that the son ends up alone the director said Nick died it was so 😢
I knew a kid named Draven all through middle and highschool, we became friends because he stabbed himself with a pencil and said “I don’t feel pain” he scared the shit out of me so much I thought if I don’t become his friend he might eat me. So this how I feel any time a remake of this movie happens 🤣
"anytime a remake of this movie happens"
Sometimes I think you people don't know what words mean.
@@mwmulv bruh I know it’s a graphic novel but clearly this kid was named after the gothic movie that came out in the 90’s 🤣so please relax wreck it Ralph
@@FilmPepe2024… “anytime”
Brandon Lee did with the Crow, what most actors work their entire career to achieve. Well acted, well felt, heartfelt, badass, intense... The Crow is a classic, not just in gothic action or gothic horror or comic book/graphic novel adaptations, but in film in general.
This movie stood no chance.
I always wonder how big a star Brandon Lee might have been were it not for his tragic death making that movie.
Quick impression for its box office: Caw Caw Bang Fuck It's dead
🤣😂🤣
Perfect reference.
I can just see Top Dollar himself in the theater saying this after watching the remake/reimagining.
Used to quote that line back in the day all the time lol
Give me the refund and I’ll let you walk out of here…
👏 👏 👏
Alex Proyas struck lightning twice with Crow and Dark City but anything else I find disposable
Rest In Power Brandon Lee
“is that gasoline I smell?” -Brandon Lee 1993
I grew up in the 80's and my "alternative friend" at our local community college dated this guy, who's cousin was totally into the OG Crow. Last year, the cousin (Jethro) did a cryptic post on Facebook about he was going to update this for the new generation.... 😮🎉
Jeremy's old man energy is so prominent, he's gotten more grey than I have since 2009.
I’m guessing Jeremy ran out of whiskey because there definitely is a need for it
Premise was simple to the point.
The ending to this review *chefs kiss*. 😂
You definitely should go back and get that vintage telephone, it’s awesome
Thank you for giving Death Sentence some attention. Such a tragic and underrated revenge story
can’t say i’m surprised, i knew it wasn’t gonna be good
It's amazing.
It's truly a feat they managed to make me not root for them.
I think my favorite quote from 1994 movie is "Victims, arent we all!" such a poetic ownage message. But Crow 1994 movie is a pure work of art!
That isn't the crow. That's the pigeon
2024 the year of bird name films and show.
What pisses me off is the actor has the perfect look. There’s fan art of him as The Crow. All they had to do was look at the comic. Which was different enough to set itself apart from the 1994 film.
Side note: The comic has my favorite line. “The name’s Mad Jack! Remember that!”
“Oh! A poet! Well, Mad Jack, I definitely will remember that.” 💥
Woah. Actually looks just like the actor. They fucked up.
“I just want him.”
Me pointing at the crow 94
“Well you can’t have him.”
Hollywood
I love doing a double feature of The Wraith and The Crow. Similar movies separated by a decade. The sequels and this remake will never have their own double features.
I watched the '94 crow on August 31st 2024 after being recommended it by a friend, there aren't many movies that have made me tear up, but the ending was beautiful in a tragic way. I love the scene of the crow holding the ring on Eric's grave stone showing that Eric and Sarah's souls were finally at peace. This movie couldn't hold a candle to the original.
This isnt the Crow. This was the Pigeon
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I’ll still watch it
The Grackel
@@crimsondragon9099 Just don't pay for it.
Your tense changed.
The worst part about this movie is wasting a Skarsgard.
How they do anything is how they do everything.
Skarsgard is literally the only reason there is slight interest. Otherwise, nobody would go see it.
I wont be watching it and not because i'm a a die hard fan of brandon lee. I knew it would end up like this simply from the trailer but i came here because Jeremy always gives and honest review and have come to trust that. I think i'll watch the original tonight.
Jeremy, had to look you up...damn brother you look good for 43! 50 (almost 51) here and I get that "old man energy". Never stop never stopping my man!
As always great video.
I didn't even know that Crow had a new movie until Jeremy uploaded this video.
