I really miss this exhaust it sounded so good.. I changed to a borla and 3" when I went turbo. Honestly it doesn't sound near as good to me and drones pretty good. I'm going to make some changes to it to hopefully cut down on the drone at least
@@fro-zswhenifindtimecustoms4087 I’ve always liked the Flowmaster 40 or 50/Thrush Welded Muffler setups on trucks. It gives it a really nice, loud bellow. Almost like a lion’s roar lol. I think the Flowmaster 10 sounds a bit too crackly loud for my taste.
Are those the mufflers that are like $26.99 at O'Reilly's? I tried those once, like 10 years ago, and they sucked. Loud with a crappy tone. If they are the same ones, maybe they're made different now.
It's just a 3" welded 2 chamber yeah they are like 30 bucks it sounded decent to me but that's an opinion. I have a borla on the truck now since the turbo
Essentially non existent. You hear the sound mostly during acceleration at cruising speed you cant much tell you even changed the muffler unless you ride with the windows down and it's got a great tone. I like this cheaper option muffler alot
I haven't noticed any discernable change. Still gets around 20/21 as long as I keep my foot out of it and am not pulling my covered trailer. My AFR gauge is usually around 14.6 normal driving so it's not running lean either which alot of people say happens when you change your muffler but honestly as long as the CATs are in it they slow more air than a muffler ever would.. mine will be going away sometime this spring and doing a turbo trying to build it as a full sleeper so hopefully it won't be too loud
@@fro-zswhenifindtimecustoms4087 Nice, you should keep us posted on the turbo build and final result. What blower are you using? And anything with a blower will be quite, even without cats 👌
@@pibe8761 I'm planning on having the whole build on the channel. I've got everything just waiting for warmer weather 😁. Stay tuned to find out the details 😉
Quite well still sounds really good and not crazy drone in the cab very pleased with it. Really need to do some follow ups on some of these videos and I've actually done some other things I was to in a hurry to film so I need to do a overall update as well
Yeah I try to keep her away but when the grinder welders or lawnmower comes out she's all in it. Can't even tig aluminum with her outside and my shop door closed the frequency humm drives her nuts and she barks at the door. But she's my buddy only one that helps me work on stuff for sure
Nice video, good demonstration.
Thanks
8:31 People make it seem like you can’t make a single exhaust sound good, but you sir have proved them wrong!

Great video- very thorough and well done.
Thank you
You never show the forward part of the install? Was there an adapter?
No adapters just a length of 3" pipe is needed
I've got a very similar short bed I want to do this on. Perfect video!
It's definitely a sound improvement still very happy with it.. thank you for watching and feedback

Hands on your own exhaust, great skills and sound! 🤙 how's the interior drone btw?

@@fro-zswhenifindtimecustoms4087 yeah sounds better than the competition for half the price or even less. MPG didn't change?
