You guys are FANTASTIC!! A week ago, we had a Furion tankless water heater installed and were loving it. Last night, we experienced a torrential downpour. Shortly after that, we started getting E1 error codes. We went through all the things we thought it could be without calling the repair service.
    Then, we watched your video.
As a result, we hooked up a small heater and have been running it to dry things out. Turned on the water again a little while later. And voila! No codes.
Now, a moment ago, we got another E1 error code, so we presume it just hasn't dried enough.
Thank you so much, though, for helping us discover what's going on.
We love your videos. Informative without the boredom quotient!

Brand new 2024 Dutchman Eddie Bauer with Furrion tankless water heater. After heavy downpour I had the same problem. Took back to dealer and it worked for them. Went home rained heavy again that evening and no hot water in the morning. Blew out vent tube and also took leaf blower and blew through exhaust and at least 1 pt of water came out. Turned on water heater and everything worked fine. Put level on water heater and was tilted back in towards the trailer..Shimmed back of water heater so any rain would run towards the front and also added 4" tube on exhaust.. Have had no problem since with several very heavy rains.

Matt from Boone NC here, I got home yesterday to my rv which I full time in and my tankless system was giving me an E1. One of my 30 gal. propane tanks was empty. I don't know why but for some reason even if only one of my tanks go empty, even though it can draw from either, I sometimes get an E1. My remedy when I get an E1 is to make sure I have 2 full or over half full tanks. Disconnect the propane lines and reconnect. Turn my tankless temp all the way up and then turn on hot water and it works then I lower the temp to my liking and leave it. I don't know why I get troubles when just one tank get empty but that's been my experience. I dint quite understand it, gas flow is due I guess but it works for me. Hope you are well 😉

We have had the same problem. Need propane in both tanks. But the rain was a problem for us also. We got a new cover and have less problems. Thanks for watching.

Just an update for you it turned out that the main problem was a bad propane regulator valve once I replaced it my water heater works flawlessly

What we know is after drying out the water heater and clearing the line is that we had hot water. We had to do this again several times since the video.

We have a 2024 Solitude 380-FL and loved the idea of a tankless water heater. It'd be great if it didn't keep throwing this E-1 code or if Grand Design had included some redundant backup source of hot water. Shame we can't build a lil better unit here in America. This Chinese sh_t is killing me. Would really love a shower. Enjoyed your video. I'm headed out to put a hair dryer to it right now. Thank You

We have the furrion tankless water heater. We are on our third unit (thank goodness for warttenty). We are dealing with E5 error. We are making a cover/shield to put over our tankless. We are hoping that makes a difference. Time will tell.

Our first cover blew off when we were going down the road and we got a new one under warranty. For some reason it works better. Thanks for watching.

Next time this happens, you might try turning off your propane on both bottles for a few minutes, then re open it. If it still does not work, try reversing the gas auto-transfer (if you have this) valve to the other tank. You may also look into replacing your regulators or the gas Auth-transfer valve. Also some diagnosing comments on the web mention a reset switch on the unit to make it retry.
Best of luck, hope it doesn’t reoccur.

What material was the 90 made of? I wasn’t sure if schedule 40 PVC would hold up to the heat

Beginning to think maybe need to adjust the level slightly to that side so water can run out

What a pointless video. Let’s make a video about an issue and show what videos we watch and tell everyone they didn’t work just so now people have another video to watch that shows them nothing helpful except that we waited it out and now it worked. But I’m glad he pointed out that once he took the cover off the hot water heater that we are now looking at the internal portion of the hot water heater.

@@nicszczerba2906 We have had other issues with the water heater and we believe we found the solution. The door over the heater lets too much water. We got a different cover and have not had any problems since. The solution is to let the water heater dry out and it will work again. Thanks for watching.

Having the same issue, the last 2 camping trips we have rain, then E1 code, blew out the sensor line, used the air dryer solution, nothing then after a couple of days it started working. Obviously water is getting trapped somewhere in the tank, but I do not know where?
SOLVED - I recently found this video it fixed the issue for me - th-cam.com/video/oHE_CmnArbk/w-d-xo.html

I wish I could get that 10 minutes back. All you did was Ramble On and didn't give us any real advice. You don't even know what you did to make it work if anything.😂😂😂😂 next time try to condense your videos to 2 minutes . Sheesh.

😂 I mean...I wish to be at this level of retired one day where I get to post silly sh** and drive slow in the fast lane! That was a very looooong video. Still 5th day no shower. Thanks for having me watch. I'm late for work now.
