- After beating Halo 2 without walking and Halo Reach without walking, we always wanted to beat Halo 3 without walking. But there is one major issue when it comes to a No Walking run of Halo 3 and we wanted to finally solve that problem.

Its easy, I did it solo in 20 minutes, the overcomplicated the challenge, its a "No Walking" challenge, all you have to do is jump then hold forward lol.
and you can carry that momentum by carrying it on.

Halo 3 has a thing called Slide-jumps.
If you jump and hold crouch, when you land, as long as it is not perfectly flat, you will slide. If you jump right after that crouch-landing, you can preserve that speed in air.
This is used a lot in speed running, but it is heavily dependent on the slope of the ground.

They did, they mention doing that in the final part of sierra 117, and you can see them doing it on the concrete steps on the way to save Johnson.

@@daviddempsey5854 I re-watched it, and they did not. They were just jumping repeatedly, the slide-jump looks very different, and would throw you MUCH farther. They were just being pushed with a grenade a bit and kept that momentum on stairs by spam-jumping.
the crash from orbit has made chief paraplegic but since his suit has servos it still stays upright

This video got me thinking of a great team challenge I could see you do. I am calling it Specializations- this is where each person can only do one action.
For example:
One person can move (walk, jump) and can push others
One person can shoot
One person can drive vehicles (but cannot use their weapons)
One person can press buttons/objectives and use grenades/equiptment
Given the teamwork and determination you guys have to your challenges, I bet this would be a fun and challenging experience for you!

Personally as long as you're not moving the stick (key bind) it's fine. You're using in-game functions without moving the stick forward (keybind) . You're good.
Also I love watching your guys vids they take a lot of time and work but you guys just make my favorite halo vids though so good job rocket sloth

Have you guys tried jumping using a grenade but instead of throwing it into the ground u stick it to a player so that it blasts near your feet while u are jump crouching in air?
It might give you some extra momentum

This is a magnificent channel, all my dreams where built from halo and the desire for that childhood magic I’ll forever lust as halo is not my type of game anymore onwards from halo4 and 343s takeover.
I have this energy to get up and play the old games again and dust off the Xbox360 and what you guys do is special to me in every way. I did R&D set up the company at 13 and spent a lot of money, teams from 8 different companies took time dedicating themselves to the dream of getting as close to this universe as possible only I’m not Elon musk and haven’t got billions even with investors. It was a hell of a time, now I’m the average guy.

Beating the warthog run only using melee and grenades to turn the warthog. You can turn the warthog any way you like, the one condition is you can’t use to the analog stick to turn the steering wheel.

You know, you could've just done a "theoretical" run. I mean, I feel like given how painful this seems, just skipping parts that you know you could do would be ideal. Like, you know you can move across flat ground easily enough, so there's no need to do it the whole way. A full unbroken run is always nice, but it's not like that was the case even when you did the video anyways, which was fair, but it's not necessarily the best of either world.

I'm not sure if this is true for everyone but I was playing halo 3 one night and when you jump and press crouch at any time you'll just float in mid air. You can move forward just very very VERY slowly. I was playing with a controller so I don't know if key boards can do it but I thought it was cool and possibly up your alley
