I remember really really long time ago my dad rented a car and it had that vistion player, I remember it had a GBA logo on it and I was in awe, I regret never putting in one in my GBA games to play on it.
The gold star VCR/famicon is interesting. There are only a number of codes used by each manufacturer for each gen of VCR so with a learning remote the codes for each button could probably be worked out ( a good starting point would be other goldstar VCR’s released around the same time. One step further would be to use a PSP1000 (must have a IR transmitter so needs to be the 1000), add custom firmware and the learning IR program. You can convert the learned IR codes in binary and program them into it. The PSP controls could then be used as a controller for the Goldstar. I have clearly thought about this too much…….
@@RetroZero64 with custom firmware yes. I got hold of the codes for the Sony service remote that was only sold to authorised Sony agents for repairing products. I converted the codes to hex and loaded them in to the PSP. With a press of a few buttons on the PSP using the IR program I could then make any Sony DVD player region free. It felt pretty cool back then lol
I’m originally from Hewlett Harbor Nassau County Long Island New York pinky’s up when you come around here I’ve been blessed to see and have every console from 1980-Now as well as thousands of games what a life of gaming throughout the decades
wow! that stereo w/ the built-in saturn is a new one to me! guess SEGA really liked getting in on the karaoke market wherever they could, huh? that last thing I feel like I've seen at least pictures online of it?! incredible to see it fresh out of the box, though!! its SO green, hahaha.
The Toshiba Visicom is actually the Japanese version of the RCA studio II (1977). It is probably what the Studio II should have been as its in color (remember that the Fairchild VES/Channel F(1976) was in color as well as some PONGs) and it had controllers that didn't require you to sit directly next to the other player.
The Atari STacy is a portable Atari ST computer. The ST is a fun machine as a pre-Genesis 16-bit platform. The STacy was a terrible device since it only has a *FIFTEEN MINUTE* battery life
Got that black sonic variant at a flee market south of Osaka. Guy wanted 2000 yen but i said all I had was 1100 yen and he accepted. Sold it cause it had sun damage but never found one again at a deal. Wish I hadnt.
The laseractive with the Sega AND PC Engine modules is my holy grail item. Ugh I'd love one 🙂 Also I want a Divers Dreamcast but I would take that crappy CRT out and replace it with an old VGA tube, that would be freakin' awesome right?
I’m interested in that Sega vcd, I’ve had the pleasure of of owning a Sony portable cdi and an rca nuon(I like movie players with game functions) I find rare things but I never hold on to them I sell them to the next person. It’s the hunt that’s exciting for me, not the games.
@@AdamKoralik wow thanks. No wonder it was posted this year since most of my hunting was in 2022. Welp, now it's time to finally order a CIB unit and burn VCD's. Thanks again Adam.
I did just that and it works great! The work Derek did is actually really impressive - it essentially makes your Dreamcast a VCD player, with the Mic on & working. I just wish it was easier to find mix CDs with good Karoke tracks without having to make your own. The holy grail would be someone finding a way to get some sort of online third party Karaoke service working in it, but I won't hild my breath haha
Adam if you ever get a Sega Tera Drive you need to put that windows cartridge or whatever for the Genesis that Lodmot sent you in a pickups video. It would be the appropriate thing to have running on that 😂
Sega put their consoles in everything
I wish they made a sega cd in a fridge

14:36 VSMILE!!! Man, that was the first console I've ever had before Halo 2 on the Xbox as a toddler-if you call 3 year olds toddlers that is.
Pretty epic stuff. I can only imagine the pain it is to bring those Saturn hifi / karaoke systems with you.

Appreciated!
So many Rare consoles, and one ...odd looking tennis thing. So cool. Thanks Adam!
Awesome video Adam!
I agree their gaming museum is top notch. I look forward to going next year. 😊

Super cool to have an event in a space like that. A lot of neat variants there and nice to see an unboxing of an old game.
Adam is awesome. It was great seeing you again at the Long Island retro gaming convention. Hope to see you next year my brother. 🤙
Thanks for coming out!

Come with me...and you'll see...a retro video of pure imagination...I freakin love the fact that they do this inside an actual museum.
So much hardware I have never seen before. Thanks Adam!

6:07 i saw that philips CD-I stereo in an episode of Angel lol, Philips would also release a non CD-I Version sometime in 98 or 99.
Wow that Prologue 21 Saturn looks pretty insane
Great vid. It was cool seeing u there in person, they better get u a panel next year!
That'd be cool!
The Korean CD-i is a rebrand of the Philips 370 model. Just with a different logo.
Thanks for taking the time Adam.
So many rare Saturn… Sega rules.

I’ve always wanted to homebrew a disc for the Dreamcast Karaoke that has a couple video games songs on it
That's a thing already actually.
