I feel passione has done a wonderful job with hero (hopefully allowing for a plausible season 5). It was a bold move from them to outright change the character designs that we have come to love, but I feel they are just trying to do more justice to the Light Novels, as the character designs and all are a lot more like the light novels in hero. In the end, I just want High School DxD to do well so that we the consumers get more. I truly believe this franchise has take ecchi to another level, and as a fellow OPPAI lover, I just want more. Tbh it's pure hentai now. The old art style was hentai too but it combined perfectly with the Shounen feeling of the anime, considering magics and all. Now it looks like the Shounen feeling was rid for good and replaced by the pure Romance genre
No guys. New season is more of action-fantasy-school genre not in ecchi like old seasons. HerO will be the best season with the best fighting scenes. And there also will be much of Issei X Rias romance in the second half of this season (Ep 6-12)

I've finished from season 1 till season 4 in like 3 days tops. This anime already feels nostalgic. I can't believe I actually had major doubts in the beginning but it's comedy is what pulled me in. And the story just started coming together out of nowhere in season 3. Now I want season 5

Moeka Sasaki if the author would consider to work with TNK again, I hope it would be a collab between them and Passione to get the best of both versions. TNK in charge with the: art, character designs, and background, while Passione deals with the animation and story, being the main studio of the project to make sure TNK doesn’t pull an anime original on us again. That way, both the fans in Japan and around the world can be happy and enjoy DxD before the whole art style fiasco, splitting the fan base in half and being the least viewed mainstream anime currently
With the progress of the light novels I can say that season 5 will be a great part, and I'm also waiting for it even though it's been a few years. 15-5-2023

Tbh it's pure hentai now. The old art style was hentai too but it combined perfectly with the Shounen feeling of the anime, considering magics and all. Now it looks like the Shounen feeling was rid for good and replaced by the pure Romance genre
No guys. New season is more of action-fantasy-school genre not in ecchi like old seasons. HerO will be the best season with the best fighting scenes. And there also will be much of Issei X Rias romance in the second half of this season (Ep 6-12)

I've finished from season 1 till season 4 in like 3 days tops. This anime already feels nostalgic. I can't believe I actually had major doubts in the beginning but it's comedy is what pulled me in. And the story just started coming together out of nowhere in season 3. Now I want season 5

I agree with the fans of this series this new art direction is.......I prefer the original character design.
Pretty sure a majority of us prefer the old compared to this horse shit. Everyone looks the same, it's too bright, and the girls aren't even sexy anymore, just moe and cute. It also loses its dark atmosphere bc of the bright art. Hopefully this season tanks so the author realizes how much he fucked up

Moeka Sasaki if the author would consider to work with TNK again, I hope it would be a collab between them and Passione to get the best of both versions. TNK in charge with the:
art, character designs, and background, while Passione deals with the animation and story, being the main studio of the project to make sure TNK doesn’t pull an anime original on us again. That way, both the fans in Japan and around the world can be happy and enjoy DxD before the whole art style fiasco, splitting the fan base in half and being the least viewed mainstream anime currently

I admit the new animation look really fluid and 100% fulling animating compared the previously season some action animation look like picture with effect.

High School Dxd. My first and best harem and one of the best animes ever. It managed to make a very good plot. No other harem has beaten it.
