This is easily the best fight in all the series. For the first time it’s not a fight against a “villain of the week” but just a guy. No broken magic, just two MEN beating the shit out of each other and their drive to push on towards their dreams. Animation is great as well and the music is inspiring. 9 out of 10 as my only wish is it lasted longer to show more of a back and forth of who is winning. Instead of Issei being in charge most of the time.
I feel that's what made this fight awesome, it wasn't an endurance type of fight that last 100 episodes like dbz(love the show also, but seriously lol), just one that showed their insane power and drive to win it for their houses...and yeah I kinda see your point, it would have been cool to see it drag out just a little bit longer.

Studio passione decided to follow the artstyle of the light novels and thats the reason for the artstyle change. This fight was awesome and the debut of Issei’s Cardinal Crimson Promotion was something I have been waiting for this season as well as the Illegal move Triana. While the New art style did catch me off guard I like it better since it’s more in tune with the light novel. I can’t wait till season 5 where we’ll get to see more power ups for Issei, seriously Boosted Gear is my favorite anime power.

He'll always be a pawn because those 8 pawns were what he was reincarnated as. Even when he does become a King, his pieces are still 8 (mutated) pawns. By the way, a spoiler, there are no King pieces as they've been deemed illegal. You become a King by becoming a High Class Devil and creating your own peerage but you don't get a King piece. Also, he'll always be Rias' pawn even after he creates his own peerage except when they have tournaments where they have their own teams and are competing against each other.

0:23 this is one of my favorite scenes in all of anime, it was so awesome to hear issei finally, after practically 4 seasons, say just how much love he has for rias. And the glowing aura around him while doing so made this scene so badass. Plus the fact that he went on to whoop sairaorg's ass! And as English being my only language it was most badass to me in the dub version which is how I saw this first. LOVED IT! Can't wait for season 5! ❤️🤩🙏

In terms of actual animation this season was better than the rest and that's a fact. The artstyle not so much. I enjoyed this season a lot because of the better fights and the story between Rias and Issei. Would I have preferred the old animation, absolutely. But I have come to accept this and enjoy it regardless. Anyone that gave up the show because of the artstyle shame on you.
Somehow this fight was one of my favorites. Highschool DXD was the first "real anime" i watched, excluding dragon ball and naruto, it was the first anime i watched being fully aware of what anime was, and looking back at it... it was shit compared to other stories but still holds a nice spot in my heart, coming back to it after years and watching this fight, i really liked it, nothing fancy about it, just two men with superpowers beating the absolute shit out of each other, giving in to their primordial male instinct to compete in a battle.

I don't think Prime All-Might stand a chance against Sairaorg. Remember before fight between Gremory vs Bael scene in the light novel it was mentioned that Sairaorg can destroy a mountain with a normal punch and his speed is faster than light (considering Kiba who move at light speed after the end of season 2 got beaten easily by Sai)
After the fight, Sairaorg was teaching issei a lesson by telling him that issei should confess his love to rias and not calling her president Also rias' best friend was teaching issei an important lesson in a episode
Hope this series continues. The story is just breathtaking. I haven't seen an anime with better story than this. I mean, mythologies battle it out. Renegade groups such as Khaos Brigade destabilising peace. Mysterious characters like Cao Cao. Nordic regions. So many mythologies to discover. It's literally the coolest story I have ever seen
Sorry for you. DXD dosent felsh out the myth and only stays inside the devil's society. Cao Cao and the hero faction are only relevant in s5 and boom the story is a mess.

After rewatching season 4 we really need season 5 bc we still the hero faction on the chaos brigade to worry about, the other sacred gears, the one war eizazel talked about with that other fallen angel, and I'm waiting for issei to get a king form if he can get it. So there is no reason we should not be getting more seasons of dxd. Plus we gotta deal with big red. What if Lucifer shows up (I think he is dead)

Common it's not really a harem ecchi anime, the story so far is as good as the big animes and the ecchi scènes are just fun and comedy more than anything else, deserves more seasons ASAP and hopefully change back the art style like the one of seasons 1-3.

This fight was awesome and the debut of Issei’s Cardinal Crimson Promotion was something I have been waiting for this season as well as the Illegal move Triana. While the New art style did catch me off guard I like it better since it’s more in tune with the light novel. I can’t wait till season 5 where we’ll get to see more power ups for Issei, seriously Boosted Gear is my favorite anime power.

Also, he'll always be Rias' pawn even after he creates his own peerage except when they have tournaments where they have their own teams and are competing against each other.

In terms of actual animation this season was better than the rest and that's a fact. The artstyle not so much. I enjoyed this season a lot because of the better fights and the story between Rias and Issei. Would I have preferred the old animation, absolutely. Highschool DXD was the first "real anime" i watched, excluding dragon ball and naruto, it was the first anime i watched being fully aware of what anime was, and looking back at it... it was shit compared to other stories but still holds a nice spot in my heart, coming back to it after years and watching this fight, i really liked it, nothing fancy about it, just two men with superpowers beating the absolute shit out of each other, giving in to their primordial male instinct to compete in a battle.

Common it's not really a harem ecchi anime, the story so far is as good as the big animes and the ecchi scènes are just fun and comedy more than anything else, deserves more seasons ASAP and hopefully change back the art style like the one of seasons 1-3.
