As someone who just recently watched Back to the Future for the first time and thought it was lame, the Delorean never crossed my mind when I was trying to figure out what was going to be on the list.
Gotta say though, there are definitely some classic cars that didn’t even get an HM that puzzle me. The General Lee, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Starsky and Hutch’s Gran Torino, etc. still a great list though

The Batmobile from Adam West’s Batman TV series is my favorite version- it is indeed a classic, and was very well designed by George Barris. Of James Bond’s cars, my own fave is Timothy Dalton’s Aston Martin from The Living Daylights.
My favorite movie car is the 'Last of the V8 Interceptors' from the first two Mad Max movies. The car is a 1973 Ford Falcon XB GT, and for a short while I owned one similar, a '74 Falcon GS with a 351 Cleveland, same as the movie car. I used to drive this right hand drive beastie around Boulder and even used it for pizza duties when I worked for Dominos. Sadly I couldn't afford to keep it running (the transmission let go after a few months) and ended up selling it. It was fun as heck to drive, big and powerful, and was a movie car I could actually own. I could say the same about a DeLorean, except a neighbor had one and I learned to hate them and I think the Bricklin is cooler looking.
