I really love this game. Discovered it on MAME about 10 years ago and still play it regularly now. My top score is about 1700000. I start at the higher bonus and go from there. I'm still learning new ways of increasing my score. A very well put together and addictive game :-)
very underrated arcade puzzle game that i still come back to time to time, the interview on the midway arcade treasures disc for this with dave akers and mark stephen pierce is a really good watch as they say how the game took 4 months to be developed for a trade show in england and how the game was conceptualized on an amiga and thus when the game was ported to the amiga it basically came full circle, so if you can pick up midway arcade treasures as a load of fascinating interviews are found which sadly arent on the midway arcade origins release.
There was an arcade cabinet for Klax at my doctors office when I was growing up. I hated going to the doctors, so, this has a very strange form of nostalgia for me.
It is the 2020s & there is still time for Klax!
💯💯💯

Probably my favorite detail in this game is the screams the tiles make when they fall to their doom. It’s so fucking hilarious.

This game rocked, one of the best in a long liine of Tetris clones back in the late 1980s/early 1990s.
Ah, a clever strategy for the first level I see.
One of the hardest puzzle games on the arcade I have ever played in my entire life
Have this arcade still plays really good
thanks for the upload !!
Is there like no music in this game?
Klax never had music. Apparently, the game designers were looking to save on hardware costs and opted for digitized sounds and no music.
Huh.
@@TLM250 "digitized sounds" And then the Lynx port came around with a fully digitized music track!
_Hint: Play Klax every day!_
Tiles aren’t meant to scream! 5:42 5:48
