You have already purchased a health insurance. Great Work! Now before thinking that all is well, you need to check and do a few things so that in the unlikely event of you getting hospitalized, you are not faced with any claims related challenges
1. Review the Policy - Check the health history.
2. Always visit the hospital where you plan to get hospitalized. Understand the hospital layouts, know where the insurance department is.
3. Have your policy details shared with your family - spouse, parents, in-laws, siblings. Always have extra copies of Aadhaar Card with your family members.
4. In case of hospitalisation, please ensure that the doctor has documented all the details and written the reasons for hospitalisation.
5. Plan to do your annual health check-ups with the preferred list of hospitals so that you are familiar with the layout of the hospital - right from parking to reception, to insurance claims department to the rooms of doctors.
