There's a very suttle moment where Tony goes to cheers Jr with his glass of wine and you can see Jr looks confused and seems like he forgets he has the wine in his hand. An early hint at this dementia.
Nice catch. I think that might have been the first sign. It happens only an episode after Junior's fall down the courthouse stairs, which was the trigger for his decline.
Uncle Jun's slow mental progression decline throughout the brilliant 6 seasons leading up to the most heartbreaking scene ever doesn't get nearly enough credit.... I'll never understand how people never realize how great of a man corrado soprano really was... I'm always in awe of him
It surprises me Junior could never just accept his position as an advisor or maybe consigliere. He’s so good at it and it’s because he’s been on the street for years and just knows how to play the game. Much like Richie “he’s not respected” but he gives fantastic advice and knows how to guide Tony.
