My wife and I just purchased the X.3 model and I’ve been looking all over the Internet primarily TH-cam to find videos like this one and I have to say this is by far the best camera mounting video that I’ve seen so far. My wife and I are looking to take a trip later this year to Arizona and we wanted views that weren’t so distorted and looked more normal and these definitely are awesome views very promising and really appreciate what you’re doing here thank you muchly
Is that Chase Lumber?! Funny! Your video popped up during a Big Rock Moto video I was watching, and it turns out you're right up the road from me in Waunakee!
Going thru this right now. Just learning the X3. Not only the camera and mounting but then the editing. Also have the remote and that is a must have. Bouncing back and forth with Davinci Resolve and Adobe Premier. And because I have the remote it records all the telemetry so have been playing with telemetry overlay. Talk about lots to learn!!!
Can you tell me more about the remote? I have the X2 but I'm curious about that. What exactly can you do with the remote? In terms of editing, I use the desktop app for initial editing, and then Final Cut Pro on my Mac. Some people do all their editing on their phones. More power to them! I need my full laptop.
The remote will work for the X2 also. You can turn the camera on and off as well as start recording. Fantastic that you don't have to stop the bike to turn the camera on. Also it has a LED that indicates if the camera is recording - so no guess work. Beyond that it also will record telemetry that gets stored in the 00 file on the camera. The studio app can use this data to create on screen guages. I went one step further to get the full Telemetry Overlay program. A link of mine th-cam.com/video/LwaLpZOM6fA/w-d-xo.html shows a bit of what the telemetry can do. Still learning the full 360 video with the overlays. But just for the ability to start recording when you are riding is so worth having it.
Thanks for sharing! I’m using a x2 as well and still looking for good mounting spots. My go to spot is a extension pole in front of my bike (double secured), which gives me nice footage. Love your handlebar spot and the frame spot and probably will try it in the upcoming days in my videos as well. Thanks, nice video! 👍
Thank you and I'm glad it was useful. I'm starting to use the mirror location as my main location. The long poles make for great footage but are so impractical (and ridiculous looking) that I won't use it. I really like the location down by the front wheel. Nice to mix things up that way.
The RIGHT mirror one was the best I think. I just got my X2 today and...will try to put it R mirror I think. I'm from Iowa, but..live in San Diego and ride often across the border 20 mins....into Baja and it's beyond amazingly beautiful, and this 360 X2 should be perfect for showing everything...vs my GoPro 9 and holding it and pointing it all over the place LOL.
@@JohnnyFuelMotorcycleAdventures Will do. The REAL reason I got this camera...is I'm going to use it paragliding and flying ultralights too. I bike a lot in SoCal and Baja so thought the area is so beautiful too so I'll record it too.
Liked the vid and audio sounds good to me, a little wind noise but nothing wrong with that, it adds to the experience IMO. Good job editing too, I'm still learning that.
I just order that camera and I gotta say that if it’s half of what I saw in commercials and what others think, it should be a forever one🤣🤣 Now cause I am a little geeky😃 I’d suggest for you to match the audio with the picture. I know it’s a reaaaally hard thing to do but trust me I have been there myself. Your sound is amazing otherwise don’t change anything well yet. I am still experimenting to get the best sound that’s why I don’t talk on my videos😂😂 I am not trying to be a D but trying to help is all… And of course I did subscribe!!
Thanks for the suggestions, Mr. GS. Let us know what you think of the camera. I really like it. The editing takes some getting used to. When creating Timelapse in post, the sound mutes so I let the other camera’s audio take over. Still practicing syncing the two.
@@JohnnyFuelMotorcycleAdventures I hear ya I have the Go Pro MAX 360 and it’s okay for what I’ve seen the Insta360 does!! Can’t wait! Yeah the editing is steep learning curve but once you get used to it it’s actually fun even though it takes longer to do. Insta360 is editing from what I’ve seen the video by itself or so I heard. That’s what we should be doing instead of pointing fingers and you’ll see that the community is just awesome… Ride safe ride far brother
Yeah I have the x2 and will stick with it a while because it is so expensive to upgrade. As for what is best is a matter of opinion. I decided to mount mine on the right side mirror.
@@JohnnyFuelMotorcycleAdventures borrowed one based on your video... X2 version also... X3 sold out this time... A bit disappointed only 1440p resolution in mobile app... Can you get proper 4k on PC version?!.. th-cam.com/video/SHfF4jJ4mCM/w-d-xo.html
I found it shaky at 8:55 and 930, where I was using a very long extension. Both of those times use automatic stabilization, but I think it reached the limits of a bumpy road.

Thank you. I appreciate the compliment and feedback! Enjoy your trip this year.

Ha ha! Yes it is! I live right up the street. What a coincidence!

Thanks for sharing 🌹.
thanks a lot! so which one is the best? pretty excited to buy x3 with the new feature of LOOP recording ...

alot of the footage is shaky... did you use the stabilisation feature?

why not behind you?
I tried that a little too, but a little of that footage goes a long way.
