Also, we can tell it's not a base ship due to the fact that monolith ships DONT use prisms to amplify the beams dps. They may use 1 for targeting, but I have yet to see them for combining. Paint also looks a bit off in some areas
39:46 indeed, correctly hotkeyed TBs can make for some very fun mobility, my first PVP ship, the Harpe, is a laser/disruptor orbiter (like the one being tractor beamed at the timestamp) with 6 TBs, i had to sacrifice some thrust for them but it does make for a very fun ship

ion falloff gets worse per combination of beams, its best to combine 2 beams of equal strength, and fire as much beams as possible, Combining 4 beams into 1 instead of 2 twice gives a power reduction of about 1/3-1/4, dont have the exact numbers, So no, 4 beams into one is not great.
True. The exact number is actually -25% per beam, meaning two beams combined into one is 150% the power of two uncombined beams. Due to the efficiency of never combining beams, you can make some ships that use an insane amount of weak beam outputs for way more damage, but this isn't advised as it's still better to merge them to an extent and have several decently powerful outputs (3-7 outputs, maybe even 9 if you're willing to push it), as you'll hit the sweet spot between optimal, efficient damage output and a relatively small exposed barrel profile the enemy can shoot through.
@@NickAndriadze I agree, fire as much beams as possible within the constraints of your barrel, in the context it refferred to the ship it should probably output 2-4 beams for optimal damage, or add 2 extra prisms for better damage.

in creative when you are making the ship you have access to the resources panel which you can use to plop the required ammo or resources for factories, just save the ship with the ammo in place and it should load in correctly.

DO NOT EVER DO THIS. ill give you some numbers, just know the dmg i say only applies to one beam (the strongest one, thats why they should be equal) 1 beam: 100% 2 beams: 75% (keep in mind one beam is doing 100% and the other is doing 75%. the strongest beam is reduced the most) 3 beams: 56% 4 beams: 42% 5 beams: 32% ect so each additional beam is only 75% of the previous beam this is why we only combine 2 per prism. and i cant stress enough, the strongest beam is cut down the most, so make sure they are equal! and even only combining 2 at a time, that 75% adds up FAST, I STRONGLY RECOMMEND A MAX OF 8 IONS PER FINNAL LASER!

But they can be easily destroyed with flanking/armour piercing techniques or nuke right ? I mean, throw a couple of EMP missiles and some dakka and call it day.
No, it's because this particular railgun ship is built for kiting and doesn't have the penetration or number of rails it needs to punch through those shields. A more damage oriented ship in the same budget would have cut that wall clean in half, as they have done several times already in fact.

I haven't played pvp myself yet, so this may be a dumb question. But how do you get ships to spawn in with ammo and resources
in creative when you are making the ship you have access to the resources panel which you can use to plop the required ammo or resources for factories, just save the ship with the ammo in place and it should load in correctly.

circle closes too fast, doesn't let them actually fight. The point should be to limit the stalemate not balance towards engine heavy builds

The spending cap remains the same regardless of how many ships there are, so you have to budget between your ships wisely. I don't think it's cheating
in the end they choose to fight eachother first rather then the other team
