Mind's Eye - Best move in the game once the player reached a certain mastery of the game. Two years in and this is no longer impossible especially for Ryu enthusiasts.
I feel like Ryu's vskill parry is severely slept on. Nobody wants to put in the work to add it to their game, except for these Ryu players apparently. Guarantee if we saw this kinda Ryu play in more tournaments, people would not rate hime so low on their tier lists, not that they matter all that much anyway. lol.
They wouldn't even have to elevate it to that level. Just make it a viable part of their approach. Ryu is one of the few characters in the game that has a legit parry, yet no one uses it to their advantage. Also, most players don't know how to deal with getting parrying either. I think people are too scared of getting the timing with it wrong and getting crush countered. Not to mention that parrying effectively makes you look SICK and automatically brings the hype to any match.
It isn't fucking easy. And often times it doesn't even give you anything. Or you get no chances to use it. Ryu is not good even if you utilize it well.
Never once said it was easy, boss. That's why is said no one wanted to "put in the work/time" to make it viable, like these players in this video you watched demonstrated. Also never said that Ryu would all of a sudden be top tier, just that he wouldn't be rated so low if his parry were utilized properly, also, like this video you just watched demonstrates.

Once again, for the deaf and hard of hearing, I said smart usage of Ryu's parry would raise his status in the game, not make him OP. Obesrve, listen, and think.
Eddie K Robinson Not agreeing or disagreeing, but didn't Daigo and Tokido spend a heap of time experimenting with the parry since S1 and their conclusion (which was why Daigo rarely parried) was that the Parry weighs too much risk vs the reward you get. It may be a cool additional tool for Ryu to do whatever he needs to do, but I think the reason why most may not utilize it that much is because it's too much of a risk to take, especially at tournament level where everyone's baiting each other hard.

As a ryu main i dont think tier lists matters and he can still be played at high level
