It's funny that many said it would be keching 2.0 but in the end it ended up having more similarities with childe lmao
TBh its far from Childe. Alhaitham isn’t as punishing as Childe if you fuck up his rotations.
@@banir3736 they meant that in terms of playstyle he feels like childe, complex, dual blades, normal/charge attack combos and his mirror skill kinda feels like riptide

@@DamslettesSIMP Then you're not optimally using him. To utilize his full potential, you'd want to use him ONLY with 3 mirrors (which has the highest multipliers).
Just like Childe, he has a specific rotation when you swap to him, and you have to keep in mind the uptime and cooldowns for his 3 mirrors.
Of course, if you feel comfortable enough with your build and rotations, it doesn't really matter. But for those who keep these things in mind (like theorycrafters and speedrunners), we can see why he's more comparable to Childe.

The first time I "fell in love" with a DPS playstyle, it was Tartaglia back in 1.1. I love riptide as a core mechanic that made Tartaglia a seamless source of hydro application with the main drawback being his on-field time and cooldown management. Alhaitham's playstyle gives me the same rush of joy with his mirror management, seamless dendro application, and alternate bursts that changed with his mirror count (much like Childe's ranged vs melee burst). Same drawback of on-field time. In any case, I managed to get C0R1 of Alhaitham and I am having so much fun with all the different team comps he fits in because his skill hits like a freight train
Same here, my first 5 star was Childe back in 1.4 and learning how to manage his kit was the most fun way I could've entered genshin. Decided to get alhaitham C0R1 to have that same learning curve and reward for optimizing his rotations/combos.
A lil tip.
The hold elemental skill allows you to always plunge even if it's aimed at the ground.
And the plunge after his hold skill always guarantees activating his 3 hit projection attack.

I got him and his weapon and didn't expect too many big numbers. But BOI WAS I WRONG. He is up there with my 3 main adcs (Xiao, Itto, and Ayato) and manages to get close to their dmg output even though he isn't fully built yet. NO REGRETS. I love his playstyle with Kuki. Hyperbloom is so much fun and is so refreshing in gameplay for me 👏😄

For ppl who are confused in the show case and don't know the dendro reactions the first is actually the hyperbloom comp and second is the spread C:

If you hold E even aiming down you can do a plunge attack right after, that way you get 2 times the 3 mirrors projection attack instead of just 1 if you tap E and then do a charge attack

ever since i got him i’ve been seriously confused on whether should level his normal attack or not and couldn’t find anything about it so this is very useful haha
Raise his normal attack in fact raise every skill to maximize his dmg.

At first i thought his kit was similar to Keqing's but the more i dive into it, i found it's more complex than that. And i enjoy it.
At first I got him for pretty face but now he has his own separate team. Which hasn't happened for a while on my account because I feel stable enough with my one usual team. Even raised Kuki for him and found out that she is pretty damn useful. Surprise-surprise

I finally got around to importing my artifacts into Genshin Optimizer, and the results I got with Al Haitham were surprising. Obviously check this for your own account, but I was recommended an EM sands and an EM goblet. If you have a really good EM goblet, it might be worth considering.
4:13 the "2 second delay" is enough time to cast Fischl or Kuki skill (then swap to Haitham immediately after casting) so he can maximize their electro application for either spread or hyperbloom team
no u cant when u have 300 ms

The C6 rotation provided does not activate his C6 buff so don’t do that. Either open with QE to instantly overcap by 2 mirrors meaning 12 secs of C6 buff, or do E > NA > Q > CA which gives you 1 stack of C6 buff if you want a slightly stronger burst.
For longer rotations (like with Yae) you can do 2 E per Alhaitham rotation but with other characters don’t do that since your E will still be on cooldown even with the C1 buff.

I think the wording on c1 is referencing the fact that the projection attacks are aoe and can hit multiple enemies at once and the cooldown is there to stop you spamming elemental skill super fast when fighting lord of enemies.
also the fact that with 3 mirrors its 3 hits each time so it would be 3 times 1,2 in single target and even more in aoe if it didn't have that xD
I do hope they optimize the mirrors display so we won't have to use our intuitions just to know when to activate the next mirror generation. Can barely see the mirrors especially during fights...
If you listen closely you can actually hear when the mirrors disappear
Refresh the mirrors after every 2 sword rains
When the 2nd batch of rainswords fall, thats the time you use yours skill or CA to generate another mirror to maintain 3.

You should have put Harbinger of dawn on the weapons, it's one of the best on him and it's what I use. I've done like 30k per projection attack with it.
I can imagine Alhaitham explaining how his C6 works with his whole kit and the class filled with the rest of Sumeru's roster just falls asleep

I fell in love with him since like the sumeru leaks begenning of last year, fr those crappy pics were enough to sell me. Then i kept falling in love throughout the archeon quest, hes such an amazing char and so funny, then when they relased him i just knew hes until now my fav ingame character.
Like apart from him the only char m so down bad for is dainsleif lol

Alhaitham keeps being compared to Keqing but his whole skillset is a lot more complicated compared to just slash slash slash slash
Its bc some of the visuals in skill and burst are similar
But matter how many times i look at vids with them side by side the only similarity i see is formation
Especially considering yk Alhaithams skill is one tap and Keqings skill u have to double tap
Alhaithams lasers are more of in a uniform shape bouncing off the mirrors while Keqing just does slashes in a large AOE
I dont think Hoyoverse even intented for their visuals to look similar

I lost my 50/50 for Kazhua and decided to go yolo and roll on this banner and ended up with the back to back. Then rolled the weapon in 50 rolls, so my new main

I think the 1 sec CD on his C1 is because when he has multiple mirrors the projections seem to hit multiple times

Remember guys, you can also build around Harbinger of dawn. Just remember to have a shielder or a good healer. It's better than some of the 4★ weapons mentioned in the video
Yeah its his second BiS weapon after his signature weapon. U just need a zhongli/healer like kuki then the dmg is BOOM.

i like playing alhaitham with raiden, yelan and thoma. rainbow colors go BRRRRRR
My team is alhaitham yelan beidou and yaoyaou and I don't feel like I need to change it unless I get Raiden or upcoming beizhou. With the upcoming event I believe I saw somewhere that a 4 star would be granted when events are done. Should I go for fischl if that happens instead of beidou. I know that beidou skill is not optimal but her ult gets the job done in my opinion.

im most likely gonna give my Alhaitham 2 piece Flower of Paradose Lost & 2 piece Deepwood Memories set , and for the last sloth i have a Emblem of Severed Fate sands with Dendro Bonus as main stats and for the weapon i gave him a lvl 60 Skyward Blade atleast until im lucky and maybe get his actuall sword on weapon banner
Xiphos moonlight was also the sword he was using when we first saw him and cyno fight in 3.0 so I’d say that’s genshinwallp way of saying that’s his best in slot 4 star
I got him im so happy still gotta farm for artifacts though

Some info in the vid on C6 is wrong. Using the skill before the burst does NOT grant him his C6 Crit buff. You should be using his skill in the 2 second window after his burst to us skill and set up for his field time (~12 to 16 seconds), and using your applicators/buff supports before that. Burst -> Skill -> NA spam for 2 projections -> CA -> NA SPAM -> E?(Don't know but C1 might make it work) -> NA Spam -> Character rotation

If only newly released 4☆ weapons would get added to the regular summon pool instead of being limited to Weapon Banner only, would just be more convenient.
Wouldn't it be smarter on C6 to do a charged attack before the burst? Then you get the bonus and can do the skill later on. Or does the bonus stack for each mirror he overgenerated(seems way too excessive)

i accidentally got alhaithem, i was building pity for yelan and got him. still going to pull for yelan, but i have to build alhaithem now
His C1 has a timer because his coordinated attacks don't directly multiply their damage based on mirror count, it does multiple instances of damage directly correlating with his mirror count. It's basically just saying that regardless of your mirror count, every coordinated attack will only decrease it by 1.2 seconds, and it can't stack with multiple damage instances from the same coordinated attack. It's weird asf lol

The c6 rotation here is wrong. it's Q, E immediately before the 2 seconds is up. That gives you 2 stacks of C6 for 12 seconds. Use a CA before the 3rd stack disappears (3 seconds after Q stacks come up). This should give you around 7 seconds of 3 stacks and 18 seconds of C6 uptime. If desired, you can also E/CA before your next burst to get the C6 buff on that burst since it snapshots.
If you follow the rotation in this video your Q will consume both stacks from your E, leaving u with no c6 buff unless you CA.
xlice i think u didnt notice this but during the gameplay showcase, u mislabeled the teams. the rotations shown on-screen were correct but u mixed up the names of the teams.
meanwhile me adjusting his q , sometime it becam backward even im facing the enemy

I wanted to see the dmg comparision chart for every weapons, because I am curious if the extra crit from using black sword and crit dmg head piece is better then the EM from iron sting/umbrella.

Al Haitham hard scale with crit damage. On EM build you might see bigger number when he proc spread, but overall his damage will be lower

@@teeman7137 right now my crit on alth is 75/230. I’m having trouble getting my crit rate any higher I have some artifacts on with 15+ crit it’s still not enough. Ideally I’d want 90/200-250

So should I wish for him, I have garunteed (I lost my 50/50 on alhaitham banner already) or get c1 yelan/hu tao. I don't have enough to get to pity again but he may come early 🤷♂️

hes a really fun character but the thing ive been loathing is playing co op as him, it feels like i need 3 characters to get him in the right zone but you only get 2 or sometimes just 1. I usually try aggravate with kuki but then i lose my deepwood application and vice versa.
Why don't you just put Deepwood artifacts on Kuki then?

my Al Haitham only gets 2 mirrors all the time even after i use burst with no mirrors, idk if it is a bug or something bc i never see him getting the promised 3rd mirror in his kit, even in battle

Was simply trying to get Yaoyao cons but genshin gave me Alhaitham back to back and I kept winning 50/50 now he is C5R1. I was simply wasting faiths and yaoyao cons since I don't need anything for the next banner I have everything from there maybe Kaveh in the future. Its scary how generous the game is. I think whenever I simp hard for characters the game go easy on me like how it did with Kazuha, Zhongli, Scaramouche and now Alhaitham.
Can I lend some of your luck? I have only once won a 50 50. and not even to jean who would be the one standard banner char id want

Do you guys count 4 seconds or visually see if one of his mirrors has expired or not? Cause with all the colours and numbers on the screen, I honestly have trouble seeing how many mirrors he has out.. I wish Genshin placed the mirrors in the bottom right near his skills or something so you can actually see how many mirrors he currently has ):

Question: Why should you go so high with the crit rate when using a crit dmg weapon? I thought threshhold should ne 75% or around that so I'm slightly confused why you would go so high with cr
That's just following the "rule" of 1:2 ratio, the reason why 240 CD is bad if you only have 10 CR is because even though your crits would hit really hard, you'd never crit in the first place, that's why you need a CRIT rate relative to your CRIT damage, in this case, because al haitham can have a really high crit damage thanks to his signature weapon, you should also get high CRIT rate, so that you can always hit really hard.
Technically speaking, it's the same for all characters, all characters want to have at base 100 CRIT rate and 400 CRIT damage 3k att, 1000 em, 300 er, etc. Plus all relevant team buffs available but is that easily achievable? Nop, you work with what you have and what you can give them
85-90 crit rate with his weapon? Idk about that 😅 you need a lot of crit rate rolls since he doesn’t ascend with crit. Even 10 crit rate on flower, feather, sands and goblets is 40, plus 31 from circlet, 5 base and 4 from his weapon’s passive only puts you at 80%
I don't think he calculated the optimal ratio's correctly unless he means an omega whale resin refreshing but even then it's not realistic. Maybe he didn't take into account that alhaitham doesn't ascend with any form of crit.
I would call the Alhaitham international comp, Dumpling. i'll leave that for people to figure out
When using Alhaitham with Raiden,Xingque,Zhongli which arti set build should I go for Alhaitham? Deepwood or Glided dreams ???
I like to use Gilded on Alhaitham and then give Zhongli deepwood (triple HP for shield). Zhongli's skill can consistantly proc the deepwood set passive even from off field (I have also used deepwood on Kokomi because she can also proc it), you do not need to use the set on a dendro character, in my case, Kokomi and Zhongli are not built for damage they usually run 4 piece tenacity to buff the team, but for dendro reaction teams, deepwood is better. But if no other unit can use deepwood, it is best for Alhaitham because the dendro shred is very helpful)
Can you please tell me which 4 star artifact I can use because I have alhaitham and it’s my first 5 star character and my ar level is 35 so I don’t have 5 star artifact
