On Dynasty Warriors: Origins
In the trailer the new character is seen fighting every single faction seemingly besides Wei. He is also standing by Cao Cao who is telling his army to advance forward. So my assumption is this is going to be a Wei focused game maybe as an “origins” for the Kingdom Jin since they are the Kingdom that unified China in the end. Anyways please god give me more info right now
Or possibly that it has branching paths letting you choose who to work for.
I, of course, would choose to work for the Superior Faction, Nanman.
Personally i imagine you make an OC and you play a campagin as "great guy under faction X", which allowd for historical events to trigger consistently for different officers, whilst maintaining player agency.
Which i find pretty lame. I'm not strung up on historical accuraracy, but DW5 did it best by having officer campaigns set in 5 stages when they existed, and free mode in case you wanted to play as Cao Cao in the nanman campaign for w/e reason.
@@ShadowWolfRising oh this is what I want 100% but I think they want to cut back on a lot of features like the huge playable roster because it has become too much for them. So on top of that them just narrowing it down to one kingdom for a better told story wouldnt surprise me. But I for sure want to be able to pick a kingdom

Most of the time when someone says "This game was made by psychopaths' for sick people" about an old game I assume they're exaggerating a little but Aggro's description of Wizardry has convinced me that it is in fact a game made by psychopaths for sick people

It's worth pointing out with Devil Blade Reboot (the shmup Bob played), they updated that legal thing about not streaming the ending/gallery/etc to be more of a request and not a legal thing, and the developer on Twitter confirmed that. It was a very harsh, blunt translation that came off threatening and the like, but is largely resolved for the most part. While it's still there as a warning screen, it won't result in legal action.

No, gyaru is a subculture. Tanned gyaru are a subset of those called kurogyaru. Shirogyaru, for traditional gyaru that don't tan, also exists as a term.

The SH2 trailer ending with James getting thrown into a hallway to have an epic boss battle with Abstract Daddy was a real "I already thought it was so over, but it turns out it could become even more so over" moment.
Also Konami, why the hell did you bother to have a Silent Hill Transmission if you didn't have anything besides SH2 remake and a Cristphe Gans talking head? Why wasn't Silent Hill f there? Why did you thinking ending on a merch segment was a good idea?
Silent Hill: The Short Message built a fanbase that was, surprisingly, large enough to cross my path multiple times.
On the topic of Souls games, there are lot of them reiterating the same Dark Souls design, but their output is high enough that one breaks containment every couple of years. Lies of P was last year's, launching around when Lords of the Fallen did, and the most recent is this year's Another Crab's Treasure. It presents as a cute sixth-gen platformer, then reveals that it's Souls-pilled to the nth degree, but its accessibility options are so strong that anyone can turn it into the 3D platformer it resembles - with a Souls edge as background radiation. Utterly bizarre, but it works.
More variety would be appreciated, and Rise of the Ronin is leaning further away from Souls and loot than anything prior, so other action games could have a renaissance soon - but Souls' hot streak isn't over yet.

Arin was always very stocky and wide, but Dan (GG) was very slim. Turns out they were both like 6’2, but just WILDLY different widths.

pure action games during 7th gen and early 8th gen: god hand being incredibly niche in its appeal and launching too late on the ps2, dmc4 being disappointing and unfinished, god of war wrapping up its story only to come back with one of its worst entries (ascension), platinum failing to find publishers leading to bayo 2 and w101 inherently flopping due to being locked to wii u, ninja gaiden shitting itself with 3, metal gear rising slipping under the radar and only getting the recognition it deserves years later, platinum starts churning out licensed slop for activision, inafune sabotaging the dmc franchise with the horrible DmC, western studios dropping trou and spraying diarrhea all over the genre (lords of shadow games, ninja theory games (all of them), yaiba ninja gaiden z, dante's inferno etc.), assassin's creed and batman arkham style combat gaining favor due to those games' massive successes, i could go on and on...

the only dev who really "betrayed the genre and went souls" is team ninja and they're arguably better at it than they were at pure action! meanwhile god of war just chased western cinematic over-the-shoulder + pointless rpg elements trends. it's almost like these devs were burned by their critically-and-commercially-flopped last attempts at character action games or something. platinum games is still chugging along too but their decline in quality with astral chain/babylon's fall/bayo 3 can't be blamed on the evil souls games either.
anyway sorry for the essay but let's not rewrite history here. just to be clear i think 90% of soulslikes not made by fromsoft suck ass (although ironically team ninja's are some of the best in the genre!) and i also wish there was more variety in modern action games. i don't know if the btd boys have ever checked out sifu but that's a modern 3D action game that is actually pretty fun & unique once you accept that you're meant to replay and master each level. it's not DMC or GOW or bamham OR souls and we should celebrate that! let's stop pitting action games and action RPGs against each other and just play good games!

@@GigaBoots it's not the homogenization of an entire genre, it's the decay of one subgenre and the rise of a similar subgenre to become the new trend in its place. you could argue the dmc/gow clone boom of 6th gen was a "homogenization," or the arkham combat boom, but no, they were just trends in action games that had to come to an end at some point. the souls trend will end too! edit: also pretending that there are no non-souls action games around anymore is just bizarre. omega force is still pumping out games, dmc5 was a hit that will prob get a sequel once the dragon's dogma 2 (also not a soulslike) dev cycle finishes, the aforementioned recent bayo 3 despite its story at least had fresh combat ideas, hell even gacha slop like genshin and wuthering waves have more dmc-esque combat. like if we just start going into ARPGs then granblue relink was a few months ago!! visions of mana!!! kingdom hearts 3 and soon 4!!!!

I think it would be... theoretically feasible to play all of the story content currently in Destiny 2 in a week (some of which is leaving next Tuesday!). Definitely doable but technically incomplete if you exclude the raids and dungeons.
It is completely deranged that literally nothing of Final Shape was shown off last night, though. Like, come the fuck on Sony, you paid out the ass for Bungie, you may as well sell their product.

@@GigaBoots The new expansion releasing meant all the seasonal story content from last year got removed. It's particularly insane this time, because all of last year's seasonal content was a direct lead in to how Final Shape opens (and also killing off Amanda Holliday).

Multiverse is was always a weird thing to because I don't get the overlap. Live action movies and television, videos game, DC comics, WB cartoons, the studio's OC. It's bonkers
Stellar Blade is my goty so far. I knew it probably would be good, but that it would manage to grab me as hard as it did I definitely didn't see coming.
I especially love all the exploration and searching for secrets, outfits everywhere. Even the platforming, despite being a little floaty was super fun. Just clicked well with me on most parts. And I am still not even at the end, which all the people keep saying goes up in terms of quality and variety even more. Just taking it slow, exploring everything, doing all the side quests. 34 hours in now, completing the fishing stuff at the moment.😅
Yeah endgame gameplay is fantastic, good luck with that!

If you want outfits in your sony game Dan, you can play the last of us part2 remastered and dress up your favorite character in silly sirts while you fo through its roguelite mode and infinitely continue the cycle of violence!
Would you believe that Ubisoft does put out their new releases day one on their pass. If you time it right you can play a few of their new releases with just one month of the pass. Both the new Assassin's Creed and Star Wars Outlaws will be day one on it too.
And if you are someone who already has a bunch of their games but never picked up the dlcs, when you sub it gives you access to most of the gold and ultimate editions so if you wanted to save money you could technically rent the dlcs and seeing as most are short, get through them with just a months pass.
Its with the pc sony will/wont buy a ps5 for games bit, like an hour before in the same episode you guys were talking about how half of Sony's playerbase hasnt bought a PS5 yet and the PS5 still somehow hasnt dropped in price.
I will say, as an avid Destiny 2 fan, that you probably won't like the Final Shape. From the sounds of it, it's designed more for sickos like me who've been there for a while than it is for newcomers, so I'll enjoy it at least.
I do hope you enjoy it, though; I'd at least like more people to understand what's fun about the game.

PC gamer here, fuck getting a PS5 for one game, I would rather save up for the next computer upgrade instead of buying a locked down, worse product that forces me to deal with Sony or Xboxs BS.....that guy is insane. (are you really blaming PC for bad games? Sometimes yall are on crack. )
