I'm learning how to sing better for my " Who I Am 2014 " campaign. I'm trying to become the person I always dreamed I were so learning how to sing better is a part of that. I started this today, wish me luck!
The time it takes to improve varies from person to person. Some achieve a surprising amount of control in a few days; For others, it takes weeks; and many have to work at it for months. How long it takes is largely dependent upon how often you practice and the quality of your practice. It's not enough to just sing the scales; You must sing them with the right form (relaxed neck, jaw released down and back, relaxed stomach and low breath).

I find that when I close my eyes and imagine the keys on the keyboards themselves playing as I move onto the next "note" or set of "notes" (or further up the scale), I'm more able to accomplish a cleaner riff. I guess there's also a psychological factor at play when attempting riffs (from my own "experimentation").
you know.. like a month ago I couldn't do riffs or runs.. AT ALL. it sounded like a drunk girl trying to sing... uh-uh. but I started listening to Jessie j and I just like made my voice copy her runs and surprisingly enough it really worked. watching this video I see you talking about a lot of things I've learned just from watching Jessie j sing but you've also given me a lot of new tips:):) thanks so much!

I could feel my voice gaining more clarity just doing the exercises. Imagine what would happen if I continued on!
Things have been delayed a little. There is so much going on right now that my album has been finished. We're preparing for its release and rehearsing for an east coast tour! Needless to say, the production on the new videos has been slowed as a result. Don't worry though, cuz I'm working on getting the new videos out for purchase ASAP!

These are excellent exercises, these exercises really help you to learn your own Voice and Vocal range! This really has helped me alot!
Hi Eric, you are doing a great job here! I'm having singing lessons for 2 months now. The technique is under control, and i'm at the point of leaning vibrato and that's not easy.
