@9:29 and there's the Avata-2 Yaw Tumble, at least it looks like it. That's why I switched to the iFlight Nazgul after learning to fly FPV. But the Avata is a great learning tool.
I was looking at Nazgul too, probably the next purchase! Just need to get a hang of DJI Avata 2 more before moving on. It's so windy and wet right now in Scotland that flying FPV drones is a bit tricky mind!
I feel ya! I've ripped my arm off last year biking (still not recovered), most of the bits in my body got broken one way or another but I'm still powering through! Can't stop!
you did amazing without a sim. get rid of center cross and diagonals, you fly fpv using the input from the screen so being super aware of the exact direction you are going is critical. the first things to practise are big bank turns, and manual emergency stops, emergency stops help you learn to put up with bad visuals and be able to recover. its also tempting to use a high camera angle 25 30 degrees, but these make flying slowly harder (it also makes tricks harder to learn) 10 or 12 degrees is all you need, think of it as the camera angle is actually only defining your minimum speed, you can go fast with a low cam angle if you learn to maintain speed from dives and manouvres. its also worth putting in some time getting used to being upside down, then look for some easy split 's' things. ps. we all have trouble with looking down when wearing goggles, i've hurt my neck a few times during stressed flights,
First time? No Sim? Congratulations! I don't even come close to this, on Liftoff. After some 5-10hrs I a still not confident enough to try it in real life (with Neo or A2)
I’ve spent some time on the sim lately - to be honest, flying Avata 2 seems easier than most of the FPV drones in the sim. Being able to smash the stop button on DJI drones is a godsend! And to switch modes for landing in tricky areas too
I haven’t :) Just did some flying with the motion controller and then Normal and Sports mode with the RC 3. I should’ve gone into FPV drones much earlier on, such a blast!
Well done
Thanks!

@@JakeOski I'm in the north of the Netherlands and it's the same here. I'm also waiting for better flying weather. 😊👍
@@EdEditz north of Netherlands is perfect for kitesurfing though! Another way to get some air time!
@@JakeOski Haha that's true. I often see them at the beach. A bit too physical for me I'm afraid ^___^

Thanks mate! That's all much appreciated, as soon as it stops blowing a hoolie outside I'll give it a go! Thanks for all the advice!

Subbed to watch how it goes good luck
Thanks, much appreciated!
I can see you have some sim time in before you did this. Manual Mode is a lot of fun with this little drone!

hold on, the avata 2 is setted up with a max rate of 450°/s?
It comes like this as a default setting for Manual mode.
I think you're ready for a 5" now bro🦾😂
With my cat like reflexes… easy 🤣
