I fish this way (jig and minnow) regularly on the Saginaw river in Michigan, I actually just got off the river! Awesome episode once again👍

Cool show! A lot of us fish in shelters, so doesn't bother me to see it. The wide-angle lens makes it look like James is pistol-grip jigging a 6' rod :) good stuff.
It would be great if you guys could explain which rods/rod actions you guys used in your episodes, the lenths and whyyou guys used those! I mean sure tucr precision and quick tip etc. But still another great addition to your beginner ice fishermen!

That looked like a very fun day. So do you have to change your ducer to an open water type when fishing current like that? Maybe some adjustment on your electronics? Curious to know if my ice transducer would work on the local river here or if I need to pull the one off my electric trolling motor. Thanks.
Buck Fifty nope. Just have a drill a hole upstream of the ducer so when the lure goes with the flow as you drop it it shows up. Current and depth dependant
Fish consumption health advisory is high for that stretch of river.....as in one meal a MONTH for fish UNDER 20". Women and children should not eat any fish from the fox. we had a day recently, they wouldn't hit spoons, jigginraps, rippin raps, all I could catch them on was pink jig head and a minnow, all they wanted

Like the Fox River is anybody's secret LOL! There was nothing secret about Oconto before IDO aired there either...
Maybe since there wasn't any wind April first that's why everyone and their brothers were out there but I have never seen it that bad

Hey In-depthoutdoors you should fish a lake near New Salem ND for huge rainbow Trout there it’s a great little fishery
And while you there hit up some other lake near by for some walleye
get some 4 strokes.. that 2stroke smoke is brutal in those trailers lol - great Vid! be Safe / have Fun

Your in that honey hole if it's belly is yellow throw it back but if it's white keep it. I fish the fox a lot I only live 10 min. away. Thank's for the video.
What's the difference in the color of the bellies??
The eyes with the yellow bellies live in the river all year and taste like the river. The eyes with the white bellies come up river from the bay, and come up river to feed on chad and other bait fish. If you fish the rive take one of each and you will find out what I'm talking about. It will not matter how you cook them the taste if different. The whit fish come in from the bay to feed as well and taste great anytime. Hope this helps. I'll be fishing the fox this weekend in that same spot they were fishing in if your around let me know and we can team up and get some eyes and white fish.

the advertisement at 5:23 for the strike master 40 volt auger says that for a limited time it comes with a second battery. where can I buy one that comes with a second battery? I really want to get a electric one but i drill a lot a holes and need a spare battery but they are $200.
Mitchell Cohan all StrikeMaster 40v augers come with 2 batteries this season. Doesn't matter where you buy it it will have the second battery in the Box.

I think it is Okuma Inspira ISX-20
95% sure that it is a Okuma Avenger B series
I catch them there on Spoons and Raps all the time through the Ice.

We'll have some good trout episodes in a few weeks. Right now we're waiting for the bites we plan to target to freeze or the season to open.
