    I highly recommend coming to the detroit river in the spring to target walleyes. 10 lb 'eyes are caught all the time.

    Old timer showed me years ago when you have a bite like that under those weather condition's to kick some snow/slush back in your hole's your fishing and then just dowel a little hole/area for your line to fish. Kinda like fishing a 1-2' whole, but still able land fish thru your normal sized drilled hole. I haven't practiced this method for years, but I clearly remember doing it many of time's in the past when I've encountered those same type of weather conditions in conjunction with weird on/off active bite and it made all the difference to keep the fish actively biting.

    These guys r fishing on great fishing lakes where the walleye bite on pretty much anything. I want to see them go to a tough lake to fish on and have the same luck

      I have a question. How do you get walleyes to bite on slender spoons. I have caught a lot at first ice useing the slender spoons, but now they are sitting on bottom. I use a minnow head on the treble hook as well using mustad fastach. Anything to help get those fish bite up here in Northern Ontario.

    Is that an atv storage compartment on the back of your sleds? If not, would you be willing to share what it is and how you attached it?

    • @InDepthOutdoorsTV
      @InDepthOutdoorsTV  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is an Otter Monster Box. Works on ATVs and snowmobiles. I bolted through the bottom of the Monster box and into the frame over the tunnel. Super rock solid. Turns a snowmobile into a very versatile ice fishing vehicle. www.otteroutdoors.com/product/rear-atv-box/

    Great video again IDO. I was wondering, how long are the minnow you use?

    • @InDepthOutdoorsTV
      @InDepthOutdoorsTV  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The minnows we used under the eye fish pro's in this episode were three to four inches long. Would loved to have had some bigger minnows but in that part of the country at this time of the year finding any bait at all is tough.

    Low fuel on the way out? lol I too like to live dangerously!

    • @InDepthOutdoorsTV
      @InDepthOutdoorsTV  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      We've never set the fuel gauge up. You're supposed to fill the tank, push some buttons in some secret sequence, then the tank knows it is full. We fill our tanks at the start of each day...so we've never bothered with it.

    was on Mille Lacs last weekend in a sleeper house. Morning to mid day was good, afternoon dropped, and never seemed to come back at night. They would hit set lines around 1-2 am. Any thoughts?

    Could you pull two sleds with the snowing with any brand? I see you pulled them with an otter but you pull two clam sleds together at once?

    • @InDepthOutdoorsTV
      @InDepthOutdoorsTV  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      We've only done it with otters but assume you could do it with other brands.

    • @InDepthOutdoorsTV

      That's a VMC spoon. Glow Goldfish is the pattern. Usually pick them up at Fleet farm or Gander.
