Mariah just needs to pull another emancipation and show these new folks who she is cauzelast year so many people who saw her 2022 performances as there introduction to her live genuinely think Mariah can't sing
yeah she needs some kind of a Beacon moment (emancipation was more music-centered and not vocals I think) because 2022 was like 2014 all over again. I think she's ready but she just hasn't made it "official" yet. Like if she gives a proper televised concert sometime soon with minimal lipping and good preparation, she can definitely get her live reputation back
@@butterdream yeah heavy on the Lipping part it be hard to defend her when she lips so heavily sometimes and she's not particularly good at it.. but recently she's been giving us a good mix of live and pre recorded
I wonder if she is taking care of her voice now, like she got a vocal teacher or something. I think she also lost a bit of weight too which might help too.
I love her but i seriously doubt it. In my opinion, vocla improvement ks her working with a coach re learning how to sing with her nodukes since she doesnt want to remove them. They might be better but not necessarily improved. I do wish her a healthy vocal recovery from the last 20+ years, though. her throat is honestly tired.
She is just starting the current tour so we still didn’t got her current peak. The dates comparisons are fair enough Even while i don’t like comparisons because there’s only One Mariah carey who did what she had to do!!
@@urblack7954 But imagine how that makes her feel. The first thing her fans are focused on when steps out is if shes gonna belt a C5 w resonance. It puts her under constant pressure tbh
The fact people have to make zillions of videos and spend hours talking about it clearly shows her voice is not improving. Every year is the same, everything fades away - pun intended 😅. It's like Whitney Houston, I hoped every year that her voice would improve. Well it didn't
Well depends on how you define improvement. If you expected Whitney to suddenly sing like it was 1992, then yeah she didn’t improve. But for what it’s worth she actually did get a lot better from her state in 2005-2006 by the time she passed.
Let's accept the fact Mariah simply doesn't care about her voice anymore. When she is asked by someone about her vocal status, she has the propensity to sound the most generic possible. What is recquired to sound better is discipline. She has to regularly a week exercise her vocals under the supervision of a professional, reduce alcohol, tabagism, to do a follow up with a specialized doctor and by her age and time of career she probably isn't interested. She can rely now on the fact she is older, but this is partially wrong: she has a pathology. She knows what.
There really isnt any improvement. I know yall looking for positives and i get it. The only difference between the 2 are she was definetly sick in the 2022 shows, along side her vocal damage. In 2023, we have no sickness, but her vocal damage remains. Her range and quality hasnt changed much since 2022. And shes lipping even more of the 2023 shows. This tour was not a good idea for her whatsoever
I can see your point tbh. but her approach to belting and just phrasing/legato in general is noticeably better than even early 2023. Even the non-belting parts in the Hark the Herald intro have some of the best tone and fluidity she's displayed since quarantine. It's just that her voice is still pretty stiff past B4, but I hope that will improve as she gets more practice
@@butterdream I dunno about that. She struggles with every single phrase with every single song 😭 she just cannot transition her registers at all. Every one of her registers are choppy besides her lower register. Everything just seems so difficult and painful 😭 This tour is just so unnecessary for her it just boggles the mind that she's doing this to herself
@@ryanallen8455 She was in a real bad shape vocally but nothing have been said of Mariah being sick and your eyes aren’t a factual argument to prove that she was sick So your opinion is not a fact! The point of the video is her voice sounding healthier than last year’s chistmass shows which clearly does and it’s not even debatable.
Get the mind right and layoff the booze; then and only then will the voice improve. MARIAH needs to decide if she wants to sing or be a statue/mannequin?
What is her voice improving from? Mariah to my knowledge hasn't given any explanation to her vocal decline. I would be more empathetic, sympathetic and supportive if she did. However, it comes across as narcissistic arrogance and entitlement; seeing her stand in one spot, more worried and focused on her hair, makeup and "ensemble than her vocal performance. Her concert tickets aren't free. My harshness may be due to the length of time she has been behaving in this manner. Decades!
These two are the exact opposite

yeah she needs some kind of a Beacon moment (emancipation was more music-centered and not vocals I think) because 2022 was like 2014 all over again.
I think she is resting very well these days
YASSSSSSSSSSSVTHATS MY MAMA
I do miss 2022's tone a little though 😭
I wonder if she is taking care of her voice now, like she got a vocal teacher or something. I think she also lost a bit of weight too which might help too.
I noticed this too
Honestly, its not coming back in 2023 and i am ok with it.
0:07 that always sounds so sharp is it a C#/D?
I love her but i seriously doubt it. In my opinion, vocla improvement ks her working with a coach re learning how to sing with her nodukes since she doesnt want to remove them. They might be better but not necessarily improved. I do wish her a healthy vocal recovery from the last 20+ years, though. her throat is honestly tired.
She as sick during the 2022 concerts and it shows.
Hmm you should compare with 9, 11 and 16th December 2022 not the 13th, thats her worst date.😅
She is just starting the current tour so we still didn’t got her current peak. The dates comparisons are fair enough
Even while i don’t like comparisons because there’s only One Mariah carey who did what she had to do!!
and CONFIDENCE
unfortunately we only have like 6 phrases to compare... :(
I mean she literally had bronchitis during the Christmas tour in 2022
but it's literally Mariah's worst night of 2022 😢
0:18 can u give me the link? I can't find It 🥺
th-cam.com/video/xxw2kAKDdTQ/w-d-xo.html around the 1 hour and 6 minute mark!
She'd continue with lip syncing 😢
It sounds like she’s not pushing as hard but also all it takes is a “nodule” flare up and she will be worse than 2022.
whats the second song in 2023
when christmas comes!
Her weight change she coming back
Once Mariah and I do some drugs together everything will be fine, the world
Will be better .😂
💀😭😭
@@butterdream it’s a dream of mine lol
Videos like this is so backhanded. I know Mariah gets sad when her own fans make videos like this
Why? It's showing she is improving :/
@@urblack7954 But imagine how that makes her feel. The first thing her fans are focused on when steps out is if shes gonna belt a C5 w resonance. It puts her under constant pressure tbh
@@ronny9833 she's a seasoned singer, she can handle this, she's a strong woman, not a baby, being a celebrity means u will be judged.
Child 2022 was so bad tbh
Was 0:08 the clip live?
Yea it is. She sang it differently each night.
She not young anymore..the voice change
It changes but it doesn’t always have to get worse
This just sounds like a mess. You can’t really hear the vocals.
Girl she's lipsyncing
not in these clips
Y'all too disrespectful of a legend
And where do you get from the source of her being sick in the 2022 shows?
@@ismaelm.mbaangue9147 my eyes and ears ma'am. She was clearly sick and in terrible voice last year
I can see your point tbh. but her approach to belting and just phrasing/legato in general is noticeably better than even early 2023.
Everything just seems so difficult and painful 😭
This tour is just so unnecessary for her it just boggles the mind that she's doing this to herself
Eh.
Get the mind right and layoff the booze; then and only then will the voice improve. MARIAH needs to decide if she wants to sing or be a statue/mannequin?
a little harsh but I see your point
What is her voice improving from? Mariah to my knowledge hasn't given any explanation to her vocal decline. I would be more empathetic, sympathetic and supportive if she did. However, it comes across as narcissistic arrogance and entitlement; seeing her stand in one spot, more worried and focused on her hair, makeup and "ensemble than her vocal performance. Her concert tickets aren't free. My harshness may be due to the length of time she has been behaving in this manner. Decades!
@@LarsStJohn-m3ndecades? Lmao chile.
those clips from 2023 not all are LIVE VOCALS it's just a pre recorded....
Where….
While most of the 2023 shows are lipped, I think the clips showed here are actually live.
Every clip in this video is 100% live.
it’s literally
live she sang
it dif each time. R u her sound engineer or what
Sounds the same lol
Still, sounds a hot damn mess
Please, Mariah voice needed no improving.
Overrated.
as are you
U.R.Awesome! amazing work with the dishes
