thank YOU for watching! DKC2 is the best and I am so happy to see it get all the love it deserves! Easily one of the best games of all time and on the SNES! ❤
most of my childhood games were cartoon/movie based, although at first i did had plenty of Nintendo too, but for some reason i wasn't always engaged in them, i love Mario games though, and Zelda games kind of. as a grown up, i get into retro gaming and also a bit of modern gaming too, and i also like fighting games, i grew with Soul Calibur 2 as a kid, but as a teen/adult i mostly played retro fighting games, such as Marvel Vs. Capcom 2. now i'm now into Street Fighter Alpha 3. I have Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 for PS3 and also Super Street Fighter 4 AE.
My brother and my first ever Super Nes game was Donkey Kong Country 2, it was bundled with the Snes, so you can tell we got one pretty late into its lifecycle. I always expected platformers to have good music but DKC 2 blew my mind, especially disco train, stickerbush symphony, hot head bop, forest interlude and mining melancholy, that was when I went from appreciating game soundtracks to falling in love with a video game soundtrack. Plus the graphics were stunning for a 2D game. Just like you, it's my favourite super nes game and also my comfort game, I can't count how many times I've beaten it now over the years, I can go through it pretty fast now. And yeah snes rainbow road is best rainbow road !
David Wise really created a masterpiece with DKC and DKC2! Mining Melancholy is also one of my favorite tracks, I also love Lockjaw Saga too! Idk what my first SNES game was since we just had it when I was born, I’m a little envious of people who are able to have those memories of buying those consoles. X)
I never owned a genesis so I’m not very familiar with the games on it! I think I bought original Sonic for my 3DS back in college. What are some of your fave genesis games?
@@juunibug well my first console in the 90s was a Nes with Metroid , but once I got the genesis in like 1992-1993 I have been a sega fan all the way until the dreamcast died in 2001. but my favorite genesis games where Sonic 2/3 , Comix Zone, Gunstar Heros " which is an anime inspired shooter" Vector Man, Streets of Rage. Contra Hard Corps.
"Rainbow Road" from "Mario Kart 64" has the best "Rainbow Road" soundtrack. Also, Super Smash Bros. Brawl is my favorite one because I have so many memories of all of my brothers and me playing against each other.
Brawl is definitely my favorite and I used to get hate for it from Melee fanboys. I don’t hate Melee, just didn’t have a chance to spend with it nearly as much as Brawl. Subspace was truly special and it’s really too bad Sakurai became stingy against letting us have a story mode again. I didn’t like Smash Run or the World of Light mode or whatever it was called
@juunibug i have the same feelings about Smash Run and World of Light. I will die on the hill. The only reason people like melee is because they can exploit the game to make things broken.
Melee is very well done and I can imagine going from fast paced Melee to Brawl feeling a bit slower, also slipping mechanics randomly LOL I think it's okay to enjoy Melee but I have never appreciated when I was told I was wrong for liking Brawl. It's just personal preference and my experience! I loved Smash 64 but it's fun seeing how far we've come all the way to Ultimate. I don't play much Smash anymore but I always cherish the memories I've had even when there's a lot of negative ones attached :)
@juunibug that's really fair. Melee is the one i played the least, and the competitive scene i was a part of essentially wanted melee for every iteration of smash bros. I don't play Smash anymore because being in the competitive scene ruined my casual enjoyment of the game.
DKC2 is GOATed af. Stickerbush* Symphony btw. Also I highly recommend playing more Kirby games, because it’s high-key one of the best gaming franchises ever.
I HAVE READ IT WRONG MY WHOLE LIFE!!! 😭😂 thank you haha I also pronounced cacophony wrong until I streamed it and my chat was like ?? Omg😭 I’ve played Nightmare in Dreamland and Amazing Mirror! Had some friends get me through Dream Course and the other one on SNES. My bf has been recommending me Forgotten Land. Maybe I’ll check it out sometime but my backlog is😳
All good. Lol, highly recommend Forgotten Land as well btw. Easily one of the best games on Switch. Grew up a ton with Nightmare in Dream Land and Amazing Mirror as well.
Oooh one of the best games on Switch? I have heard BOTW + TOTK is up there (my bf is the biggest hypeman for those games haha). I loved Mario Odyssey and Metroid Dread most on Switch, maybe Smash Ultimate as well? Man I'm looking forward to Switch 2!
All those games are fantastic. TOTK especially is probably my favorite game on Switch, even though it took me over a year to beat. Lol, but yeah. I'm excited for the Switch 2 as well.
Was having an rough day of work, and then died laughing at "I can show you the poop world" lol
Very wholesome and comfortable video! Keep up the good stuff :)
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it and am happy you enjoyed it❤️
DKC2 is one of my favorites! Thanks for sharing! 👋🏻😊💚

Great video, my nostalgia is from the same era but with Genesis games
