Hi Roni, great summary but something is still missing here. The devouring mother is also still a child herself that hasn't overcome her own fear of abandonment before having her own child with the father (a child having a child). As a result she unconciously projects this fear on her child. The child is an easy target because it is dependant and so has it's development sabotaged. This is the borderline aspect of the devouring mother. A good enough mother is a woman that can understand this dark side of her female psyche and mitigate it succesfully as a personal responsability to herself and her child. A fundamental part of that is the ability to properly pairbond with the father. A child will look for this libido energy: "if mommy is happy with daddy then she won't be lonely or upset if I go away from her to learn and explore".

You are missing the point. Old children are no longer a child...they are wicked. Women ate from the fruit and Satan is their daddy. With a strong masculine presence there would be no devouring mother as he would not allow that.😊

Brilliant again dear Roni. Peterson has put it in full and necessary sharpness: No punishment is to harsh for a predator.
Roni, such "mothers" are monsters, and we could put on a paper, how much financial damage they do to the society, creating alcoholics, drug addicts, cowards, sick irresponsible egoists at the worst, or destroying the marriages, even careers of their sons and daughters.
To stay "normal", i.e. functional, one has to divert 80-90% of one's strength to cope with those mentally and morally sick "mothers".
And again, as Peterson said, "we are in a big problem", also because too many sons or daughters do not fight, do not resist and only create misery to their family later.
Especially today, we need healthy men in the West, because of those hordes at our borders and in the meantime, "enemy infantry divisions" within our countries, literally calling for theocratic coup against our democracies.
Sincere blessings to You and Elad dear Roni.

My mom did this to me, and I started realizing this halfway through high school and started to rebel to gain independence. It has been a rocky relationship ever since. Still to this day. Now, all she does is consume and distract herself as cancer comes and goes the past 10 years throughout her body. She's overcoming it, and she is currently still getting drunk almost daily at 60 yrs old.

Great summary and analysis. My mother was a borderline (dysregulated/"dead" mother) narcisist, she had me for the social status and attention. My life has been a mess, you are totally right about the misplaced motherinstincts - they infantilize people around them.

0:49 I think this STARTED with Christianity. And the worst of the OFFSHOOTS end in either some form of "Sex Cult" (Leader gets all the women like Old School Tribal Chief) on the Pathological Sociopath "branches". Or variations thereof.
OR. Or the Pathological demasculinization or Male Feminizing, or ENABLING of Devouring Mothers branches where the "Positive Male" ANYTHING varies from Exaggerating as "Non- spiritual" AT LEAST all the way to some sort of first step on the "Slippery Slope" to Hell or particularly a sort of Knee Jerk over-reaction to an incorrect "Interpretation" of Medieval Catholic "Pathologies" or 2nd and 3rd and especially 4TH distortions of male ANYTHING that is a higher order manifestation of this Psychopathology through Wokism and capture of churches along with any other ways in which Positive Masculine historically or Traditionally was expressed has been destroyed over the last 60 years through MARXIST delusions of grandeur among OTHER Pathologies as the growing numbers of "Cherries on top" Society and Institutions are Only now beginning to realize are in their end stages.
These "Churches" end in some sort of version of Protestant Asceticism that denies all male humanity that even FUNCTIONING females don't even realize or admit, most likely, is something MISSING.
SORT OF Built in, I think, because Christ HIMSELF was never married nor had TO RAISE CHILDREN Himself.
Resulting in twisted versions of sex for Procreation Only sorts of cultism "Light", I am guessing.

Great video, yet again! What you’re describing is the single mother with one child, especially had later in their lives, eg 30 to 40’s after establishing their careers etc. I’ve seen this around me quite a bit. Yes it’s very concerning from the point of view of the people being produced from such an environment and how society are to interact with those people in the next generational dating pool etc. for the production of future generations. Not withstanding what has already been produced and in mixed in the current dating pool with a lack of understanding of being a team player, which is what is required to be part of a stable and happy family environment where both the mother and father can raise children together.

An addition worth mentioning is that the mother gives her child to the world by giving it to its father who will introduce it to the world.
The devouring mother don't trust the father to do his role.

Maybe this is worth considering, but some citizens really do need protection and growth opportunities. Are we going to keep leaving drug addicts in puddles on the street? They need a roof over their heads and treatment. That's cheaper than it sounds. If you treat now, you avert the expense of chronic disease.
You're starting to verge toward some useful arguments that could inform public policy for those experiencing depression, learned helplessness, or single parenting, but we cannot just leave these to their own devices, either. Some should be in education, and some should have really excellent social services.
Raise your game by making finer distinctions, Roni. Divide these populations into segments rather than generalizing and equating social services with devouring motherhood.
