Bun E. Is one of my all time fave drummers.. and my list is up there with the greatest ever… nothing more beautiful then a hell of a drummer and a great baseline.. this band is fecking perfect!!!
Bun is one of my favorite drummers. His time is super solid and he's one of the greats. Saw Cheap Trick after Budokan and it was one of the best shows I've ever seen. Love Cheap trick and yeah, fix the video.
I've talked with other drummers and solid comes up a lot when describing Bun. Since George Martin liked his playing so much. I'll nominate him for Americas Ringo. Solid time and great feel.
Been a fan since I saw them open for Boston in 76 or 77 in Ottawa, Canada. One of the greatest rock n roll bands of all time and way too under-appreciated.
This is such a good cover...gutsy solid...great talent...saw them in NZ in the late 70's the truck carrying the gear crashed...had to wait for a few hrs but they played.

My favorite drum intro probably of all time.At about 1:34-1:35 in the video, there's an effect that plays in my head and I anticipate every time I listen to this song. I don't think it's intentional noise effect, but it's been playing in my head since the late 1970's hearing this from the Live at Budokan recording.
If every Cheap Trick fan said what you're saying, I wonder if they would all kiss and be friends again. I'm beginning to doubt it though. The hatred between Robin and Bun E seems pretty much indelible. Aint that a shame.
All great bands seem to have failings out....kinda like some marriages. WTF, Trick still tours and they Could have been a legendary original line-up band screwed it up.
Nobody beats skins like Bunn, huffin a smoke! Nobody throws ax or picks like Rick! Nobody picks a 12 string bass like Tom! Nobody croons like Robin! Best of all time!

First time I saw them, they were a bar band in Madison WI. The place was called the boardwalk. Pink shorts and roller skates...We got to party at the house they had, Those are the times I miss!

Bun keeps it simple and solid. On the beat, with space in between, which is his friend. When he does riff, it's noticed and powerful.
