Can't Afford an Expensive Rivet Press? Try this | Leather Work

I've been wanting to get a rivet press to make setting snaps and rivets a bit easier but they're pretty pricey.
Tandy wants $170 for the press and $30-$90 for each die set. I had a friend comment that I should try using my Arbor Press that I already had in the shop. I picked it up a couple years ago at Harbor Freight for around $70. I use it to press my logo in certain pieces.
It worked well for setting rivets & snap so I think my days of setting them with a hammer are over. Thanks for the Tip Mike!
