It funny how as rokkit has gone from 10k to 450k subs his videos haven’t changed styles and that’s why everyone still loves watching his videos

As a new follower of his work, his cinematography and personality really keep me riveted. It has the vibes of a how-to video with the excitement of a big catch fishing channel. His knowledgeable narration and positivity set him apart as well.

I love that you show not only the adventures, but also the life of the adventurer. It’s the payoff from videos like these where you see the work and thought that goes into the tools that make the adventures feel even that more special. Thanks for sharing these glimpses with us, Rod!

Thats my favorite part too. His videos are in stark contrast to many other fishing youtubers. Rods videos are more personal, more intimate. I feel like I appreciate the ocean and nature more through his channel and I dont get that same feeling from others! They're also very laid back, I could fall asleep watching one, and thats not a bad thing lol its like fishing ASMR 😅

Perfect setup! You should think about breaking out the ol’ sewing machine and make a boat tent. Looks like you could use shock corded poles, use the rod holders like you did the antenna.

Great boat and set up mate. I'd drop that Minn Kota down max in the open water because with the bobbing up and down you'll find the prop will come in and out of the water, not that it would do any harm just get annoying with the noise it makes. Great days ahead for you.

If u don’t have the heart to drill through the gunwales, Other then the spot log jog feature the trolling miter heading sensor isn’t required for any other trolling motor function. U will still be able to do regular spot lock without the heading sensor installed.

loving the new project! hey those rollers that you got as a chock for your outboard is a great idea! I think the colours denote hardness ie black softest, red medium and blue hardest. Youlle see them on different boat trailers, red glass boat, blue Ali boat.

You can switch that inline antenna cable connector to a 90° connector which will give you more clearance. I have never been a fan of those bolt on hydrofoils. If lower units operated better/more efficiently with them, I believe manufacturers would make them part of the design.
That Minn Kota with spot lock looks amazing. Better than dealing with a traditional anchor and guessing at the drift regarding wind and current and paying out and retrieving line 👍🏼

Nice one mate, cheers as I am fitting my own Minn Kota, VHF, Raynarine Element 12 HV, and wiring the entire boat (Frontier Profish) myself with twin battery VSR set up. A bit daunting but should be good....I hope 😀. Love to see you do a video on what improvements in performance you got from the hydrofoil as was considering one also. Lastly have you considered a bimini at all, as I am considering a Kingfisher Eclipse Aussie made, rated to 60kph and strapless so doesn't really impact fishing that much. Check em out. Love your work👍🤙

Great video, Rod! I enjoyed and appreciated you showing off your excellent MacGyver skills that you applied to your DIY live-well, outboard tilt post support and marine VHF radio installation. Just a couple of suggestions, you may want to reinforce your sonar hood holes with stainless steel washers (both sides, glue gun installation possible) to prevent it from getting tears from the wind when at WOT and also if you can find a see-through or lighter-colored bin, it would be helpful to see your bait while at sea w/o having to peek over the top. I also bought a foil a couple of years ago for my Yamaha outboard that is gathering dust...perhaps I may install it soon after watching you do yours. Another thing I noticed is I'm wondering if you painted or applied anti-rust coating to the drill holes before mounting the foil to avoid corrosion. You also mentioned that you plan to upgrade your bilge pump so I strongly recommend that you think about using an automatic float switch as I also upgraded and rewired my bilge pump when I got my 18ft center console about 10 years ago. Based on my experience, the automatic float switch has proven to be a critical feature that has saved my boat on at least two occasions in the past. 😄😮‍💨Tight lines!

Hey mate. Check out Steve’s custom welding for a stainless casting bar like Matt Watsons. Great improvement for anchor handling and casting. Also provides a handhold for a passenger while travelling extra body weight forward to help with low speed planing. Next mod for me will be some tie down points to secure fuel tank etc.
