    One of my favorite personal Brady stories is Superbowl 51. I was watching the game with my family, and a room full of haters. When it got to 21 - 0, they were all jumping around high fiving each other, telling me the game was over, etc. When it got to 21 - 3, they said doesn't matter, the game is over. Now mind you, during ALL of this me and my family were saying, "It isn't over yet. If Tom can come back from 24 - 0 to Peyton Manning, he can come back from this." When it got to 28 - 3, the haters REALLY got excited and started celebrating the upcoming Patriot loss and starting INSISTING it was over now. We still said, "Not yet." When the comeback started, the haters started getting nervous and quiet. When we won the toss in overtime, two couples left before kickoff. When we asked them where they were going they said they didn't want to stick around for the "I told you so" that was DEFINATELY coming after the abuse of the first three quarters. THAT was awesome!!!!

      Dude there is mic ups from the atlanta players being ahead 28-3 or 21-3 and being nervous af he can do a comeback. That is what playing against him was, he got teams scared.

    All day today I have not been able to work properly. Tom Brady retiring has thrown me off guard because It symbolizes an end of an era. Not only for football but for us who grew up watching this man. We are all now in a different phase of life and its time to move on to the next chapter for us all. Thank you Tom Brady.

    • @SpencyP92
      @SpencyP92 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @Kai Esser because green bay allowed 44 points not 28.. and unlike the superbowl, Atlantas offence didn't implode and green bays defence didn't make plays. Julio Jones absolutely torched green bay in the first half of that game and green bay had 2 fumbles inside the Atlanta 40 in the first half. It was 24-0 before you could blink. Rodgers scored 3 touchdowns in the second half but every time he scored Atlanta responded with a touchdown of their own. This is the type of context people never want to bring up when they say "why doesn't Aaron get it done in the playoffs?". It's easy to look back after 7 years and say one guy made the comeback and one didn't, but in order for bradys comeback to happen, the defence needs to turn into a brick wall the second half, which they did. Where as green bays made zero adjustments and just kept allowing points

    Most impressive Moment of Bradys Career has to be that OT Drive in Arrowhead in 2019. That was GOATish. He didn't play a great game, but when it was most needed, he rose to the occasion and converted three 3rd&long in that environment, in that wheather with Pat Mahomes threatening to come on the field and win the game: It was just great.

Keeping a 40+ players, drafting for the future, and holding to one of the best, if not the best coaches ever, take some serious decision making. It was tough decision and Kraft made the right choice and even Brady knowledge it. Going back for a 1 day contract is for the history and the fans not the organization. It’s the fact that my entire remembrance of football (from the time I fell in love with the game especially as a player) everyone is gone but Rodgers. Truly shows that I’m grateful God allowed me to live this long and experience a career with the rest of the football world. We will see if Brady retires as a Patriot or not. I suspect he will but we will find out fairly soon. The deadlline to sign with another team for a day and retire as that team in this July. If Brady does not do it and July passes, he will retire as a Tampa Bay Buccaneer.

    • @Buc_Stops_Here
      @Buc_Stops_Here ปีที่แล้ว

      @@battlestar1788 read the NFL bylaws. If a player retires a member of a specific team, they retire as a member of that team. Peyton Manning had to nice for a day with the Colts or he would have retired as a Bronco. It allows the player to choose which team to retire as a member of. As I stated, the deadline to do this is in July. If he does not do it before the end of that month he is retiring as a Buccaneer. Not that I expect that but that is the NFL rule.

      @@Buc_Stops_Here I don’t understand what that means to be “retired as a member of..”
      I understand the significance when there are remaining years on a contract, but when there isn’t, what is the significance? Does he join the HOF as a Buccaneer??

    • @Buc_Stops_Here
      @Buc_Stops_Here ปีที่แล้ว

      @@KonaTheDragon it would mean that , yes. Which is why I expect him to sign the one day contract with Kraft before the deadline. Brett Farve is in the HOF because back then he signed a one day contract with the Green Bay Packers because he finished his career as a Minnesota Viking. It is usually done and is just a formality.

      @@KonaTheDragon Here is what Robert Kraft said today, backing what I said. " On the news that Brady was done for good, Patriots owner Robert Kraft, who suggested offering Brady a one-day contract so that he could hang up his cleats in New England, told ESPN (via Boston), "I don't believe in the 100-year-old history of the NFL, there's been a quarterback of Tom's ilk. I would have trouble ever believing there would be another one.""

Both hold unmatched portfolios, had extended longevity to one organization, both were respected and feared by their opponents and both accomplished just about all there was to accomplish in their respective professions.
