Well thanks for bringing that up again for me as work through the yearly grief of my Brother's murder, though to be fair, I think you handled the topic respectfully.
From fading recollection, the attacks with the axe and baseball bat were instigated by his attackers, and he used his martial arts experience to disarm them.
It was not lost on me, at the time, that one of the significant reasons that the cases fell through was the total reluctance of the community to testify in any way in his defence.
A tough lesson for a 16yr old to learn...

I'm sorry it brought the trauma back I never intend to cause upset I try and reflect respectfully the realities of British true crime history. Your brother was an amazing athlete and martial artist and a hero to many and tried to bring that out in the video. As a family member if you would prefer me to remove it if it's causing distress of cause I will so. All the best 🙏

      @@enquirer2.0 No it's honestly fine.
If there is interest, these stories should be told, as there is certainly an opportunity to review and learn from the events.
Would be interesting to find out how you conducted your research though, as there is something you mentioned, that seems fairly innocuous on the face of it, that is certainly interesting.

While working at the Broadway Club before I started at the Hippodrome (not that I could have stopped them), AJ and his 20-strong posse would barge into the Hippodrome, helping themselves to bottles of Champagne from behind the bar without asking or paying for them. Any objections from anyone were met with violence. Tony Coburn, the owner, would normally have to summon Panama to get them out. They did the same at Quinn's nightclub in St Johns Market, beating doormen and bar staff. AJ was a bully, and anyone claiming otherwise is either in denial or misinformed. Oh, and like most of his entourage, he was a racist.
