- Nelson Eddy and Jeanette MacDonald starred in MGM’s 1940 adaptation of the 1928 operetta “New Moon,” which featured this and several other well-known songs from the pens of Sigmund Romberg and Oscar Hammerstein II. The title is also often shown as "Stout-Hearted Men" and occasionally as "Stouthearted Men."
